Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the 2012 Conditional Grants Scheme of the Millennium Development Goals (CGS-MDGs) and Scale up to LGAs

The Edo State Government has obtained the Conditional Grant from the Federal Government of Nigeria and intends to apply the proceeds of this grant to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Programmes and Projects in the State.

Similarly, Edo State Government in collaboration with four local government areas in the State has obtained the Conditional Grant from the Federal Government of Nigeria, and also intends to apply this grant to the Millennium Development Goals projects and programmes in four LGAs, namely: Akoko-Edo, Esan West, Etsako East and Ovia South West.

The Office of the Executive Director (MDGs) on behalf of Edo State Government and benefitting LGAs wishes to invite interested contractors to submit documents in respect of their organizations for pre-qualification in the execution of programmes and projects under the 2012 Conditional Grants Scheme of the Millennium Development Goals (CGS MDGs).

Nature of the Programmes/Projects:

CGS-STATE:
1.) Health

• Construction of prototype PHCs, Staff Quarters and Fencing
• Renovation of P.HCs
• Provision of Medical Equipment for selected hospitals

2.) Water and Sanitation

• Construction and Equipping of Boreholes in Sedimentary Formation
• Construction of Generator Powered Boreholes in Sedimentary Formation
• Construction of Generator Powered Boreholes in Loose Sedimentary Formation
• Construction of Solar Powered Boreholes

3.) Agriculture

• Construction of Broodstocks and Fingerlings Multiplication Centre
• Construction of A.gric Training Centres
• Upgrading of Broodstock and Fingerlings Centre

CGS.LGAs:

• 4.) Education
• Construction and renovation of Schools
• Supply of Furniture

5.) Health

• Renovation of PHCs
• Construction of PHCs
• Supply of hospital Equipment
• Construction of Boreholes

Pre-Qualification Requirements

• Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
• Tax clearance certificates, 2010, 2011 and 2012
• Reference letter from a reputable bank
• Company profile including names of key professional staff and their resume.
• Evidence of previous work carried out in the past three years.
• Specify areas of interest
• Evidence of registration in the appropriate category with MDGs, Edo State while those interested in LGAs projects should also register with the preferred LGA.
• List of various equipment relevant to the category of job
• Prospective contractors in the case of supply of Medical Equipment should be registered and practicing members of either Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria or the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

• This advertisement should not be construed as a commitment on the part of Edo State CGS-MDGs office nor shall it entitle companies to make any claim whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the CGSMDGs or State Government.
• The State Project Support Unit reserves the right to verify any claim by prospective contractors.
• Full bidding procedure shall only he applied to Contractors capable of executing the projects and have been pre-qualified.
• All registration requirements as outlined above should be arranged and submitted as listed, failing which, will lead to outright disqualification.

Closing Date/Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents
The documents which should be in Quadruplicate must be signed and submitted within 14th March, 2013, in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “Pre-Qualification Documents for 2012 CGS-MDGs Projects”
