Invitation for Pre-Qualification to Tender for Capital Projects in the Institution at Nigeria French Language Village

1.) Preamble:
The Nigeria French Language, Ajara Badagry, an inter- University Centre for French Studies hereby invites interested, reputable, experienced and highly capable contractors to express their interest for the proposed 2013 capital projects below:

• Purchase of Teaching and Research Equipment.
• Improvement of Electricity supply (including design and Electrification)
• Rehabilitation of 500KVA Generator (including purchase of brand new engine)
• Rehabilitation, Repairs and Painting of Buildings.
• Improvement to water supply (including the construction of ground and overhead tanks).
• Construction of Gate house/ Security post.
• Purchase of Office and Classroom furniture.
• Completion of construction of one block of 8 classrooms, computer room and an office.

2.) Pre-Qualification Requirement/ Evaluation Criteria

• Evidence of incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission
• Submission of current three years tax clearance certificate and VAT registration Certificate.
• Evidence of Audited Account for the last three years.
• Provision of Company Profile.
• Provision of details of Staffing level and of expertise of key personnel of company.
• List of Equipment and Technology capacity.
• Provision of verifiable list of previous / similar work successfully executed within the specified contractual time frame in the past with the location, the Client and Architect.
• Evidence of financial capabilities and Bank support.
• Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act 2004 (as amended)
• Evidence of compliance with the amended Industrial Training Fund Act 2011.

Note: Applicants must attach their recent passport photograph with their application.

3.) General Information
Interested contractor must collect pre-qualification screening forms from the Physical Planning Unit, Nigeria French Language Village, Ajara Badagry, upon payment of non-refundable fee of N10,000 (Ten thousand naira) per project at the Cash Office in the Bursary Department of the Nigeria French Language Village.

4.) Closing Date/Submission
Alt submissions for each of the projects shall be in sealed envelopes and identified with their reference numbers at the top left hand corner and marked “Confidential Notice Of Intention To Prequalify As Contractor” and forwarded to Director-General, Nigeria French Language Village, Ajara Badagry, to reach him not later than Monday 3rd June, 2013 by 12noon.

Please note that all expenses incurred in preparing prequalification response shall be borne by the applicant Contractor. Also note that Contractors who have been prequalified for any of the listed projects in the previous year need not reapply but should update their submission on the newly introduced prequalification criteria (ix) and (x) above.
