Invitation to Tender for the Competition Entry into 2014 Administrative and Professional Cadres in the Oyo Sate Civil Service


Introduction:
This is to notify the general public that the competitive examination for entry into the Administrative and other Professional cadres in the Oyo State Civil Service will commence in January, 2014.


The selection process consists of the following:

• A qualifying written examination to be conducted by the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON);
• A series of tests and interviews known as extended interview

Eligibility:
Candidates must be a Bachelor’s degree holder in any of the related disciplines with other qualifications as specified in the Schemes of Service in the Oyo State Civil Service.
Only candidates who attain the qualifying standard in the ASCON examination will be invited for the series of Tests and Interviews to be conducted later by the State Civil Service Commission.


Subjects for the Examination:
The written examination is not designed to test candidates on the subjects in which they hold academic degrees. Rather, it is designed to test their ability to think clearly, understand and effectively communicate in English Language as well as their knowledge of current affairs and social issues.

The examination will consist of five (5) papers namely:

• English Language (Essay/Comprehension);
• Logical Thinking;
• Basic Statistics;
• General knowledge Paper I (Essay); and
• General knowledge Paper 11 (Objective)

Venue of the Examination:
The written, examination will hold between Thursday, 30th and Friday, 31st January, 2014 at the Government College, Apata, Ibadan.


Method of Application:
A non-refundable examination fee of N7, 500.00 (Seven Thousand Hundred Naira) is to be paid into Account No. 0120426092, Wema Bank PLC, Mokola, Ibadan, for the collection of application form in Room 44 of the Commission.
