The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit facility from  the International Development Association (IDA) under the World Bank  towards the cost of Nigeria Electricity and Gas Improvement Project  (NEGIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to  payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for Technical  Assistance for Engineering Design, Preparation of Bidding Document and  Site Supervision for a Standard Transformer Repair Workshop at Ojo  Transmission Substation, Lagos.
Request for expression of interest for the consultant services firms selection
The consulting service (“the Services”) includes:
    - Provision of pre-contract engineering services including detailed needs  assessment, workshop architectural and structural design, preparation of  the detailed technical specification for the workshop equipment,  Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), bidding document  preparation including the preparation of the cost estimate in accordance  with the relevant standards of practice operative in Nigeria.
- Provision of technical assistance on site supervision including  technical control of designs during the construction of the standard  transformer repair workshop and installation of equipment up to the  defect liability period
The approximate effort level for the assignment is twenty (20) Man-months.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria Project Management Unit (TCN-PMU)  now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their  interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should  provide information demonstrating that they have the required  qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services, The  short listing criteria are:
    - A reputable engineering consulting firm with at least 10 years consulting experience
- Experience in the design and maintenance of electric power equipment workshop
- Experience in design of building for heavy Industrial equipment
