Invitation for Pre-Qualification to Tender for Execution of 2012 Capital Projects

1.) Introduction

In compliance with the due process requirement for certification of standard procedure for procurement of goods and services, the Nigerian lnstitute for Oil Palm Research (NIFOR), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is desirous to undertake a pre-qualification exercise for its approved capital projects for year 2012. The Institute invites competent and interested contractors to indicate interest to pre-qualify to tenderforthese jobs.

Lot A: Construction and Rehabilitation of Access Roads to and within the Institute

Lot B: Completion of uncompleted buildings in the Main Station and Substations.

Lot C: Supply of Water Pumps and Water Reticulation.

Lot D: Purchase of Fabrication Materials for Palm Processing Equipment.

Lot E: Supply of Building Materials

3.) Pre-Qualification Requirements

Only contractors that have proven capability, relevant experience and good track record will be considered for these competitive Tenders. Such interested bidders are required to provide the following:

i) Evidence of incorporation or registration of business name with Corporate Affairs Commission

ii) Current tax clearance certificate for last 3 years

iii) Verifiable evidence of similar job(s) executed and Knowledge of the industry

iv) Evidence of registration with Federal Ministry of Works

v) Evidence of registration with COREN and Federal Ministry of Power and Steel for all electrical installations

vi) Company profile with evidence of technical qualification/administrative staff strength with academic/professional qualification and experience of key Personnel

vii) Evidence of Financial capability and banking support

viii) Company audited accounts for 3 years

ix) Evidence of equipment and technology capacity

x) Indicate Registered Premises of your Company

xi) Annual turnover

xii) VAT registration and evidence of past VAT remittances

xiii) Sworn Affidavit in a High Court stating that all above Submissions are Authentic

xiv) Electronic Version, in addition to Hard Bind Copy in Booklet Form, of Above Submissions

4.) Closing Date/Submission of Pre-Qualification Documents

Duly completed pre-qualification package should be sent in separate and sealed envelopes marked per Lot and hand-delivered on or before 29th November, 2012 to:

ii) In respect of pre-qualification information, NIFOR is neither committed nor obliged to shortlist any contractor or to award contract to any contra ctororagent

iii) The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all pre-qualification package(s)

iv) The Institute will only recognize and correspond with authorized officers of pre-qualified companies and NOT through individuals or agents acting on their behaif.

v) This advertisement for invitation to pre-qualify shall neither be construed as a commitment on the part of NIFOR nor shall it entitle any contractor to make any claim (s) whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from NIFOR.
