The Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan hereby invites applications to the following Academic and Professional Postgraduate Programmes:

• Master’s in Development Practice (MDP)
• Academic Master in Indigenous Knowledge and Development (IKAD)
• Professional Master in Indigenous Knowledge and Development (IKAD)
• Postgraduate Diploma in indigenous Knowledge and Development
• Academic Master in Tourism and Development (TODEP)
• 6. Professional Master in Tourism and Development (TODEP)
• Master in Sustainable Integrated Rural Development (MSIRD)

Admission Requirements
The programmes are multi and trans-disciplinary in nature and do not discriminate against disciplinary backgrounds. However, the following admission requirements must be satisfied:

• First degree obtained from a university/tertiary institution recognized by the University of Ibadan Senate in different fields such as medicine and health sciences, social sciences, management sciences, engineering & technology and humanities.
• Minimum of five Credit passes at GCE/SSCE ordinary level subjects, including English-Language which must have been passed at one sitting or six Credit passes at Not More than two sittings
• Relevant work experience in development practice will be an advantage and is encouraged.
• Candidates with Higher National Diploma (HND) may be considered for admission to the Professional Master Programmes. This may depend on having appropriate years of post graduation experience in development practice.
• Admission to Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) is open to candidates with minimum of lower credit in Higher National Diploma or equivalent as recognized by the University of Ibadan from time to time.

Closing date: 20th January, 2014

Duration of the Courses

• All programmes are for Three Semesters except the MDP which is for four semesters.
