The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Malaria Control Booster Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for procurement of Drugs.

Invitation for Bids for the Procurement of Rectal & Injection Artesunate And Sulfaoxide Pyrimethamine (SP)

The Jigawa State Malaria Control Booster Project now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the following assorted drugs.

Lot 1

Description: Artesunat for Injection

Quantities Doses: 300,000

Bid Security Bid: 2.5% of Bidded 90 days price

Bid Validity: 90 days

Lot 2

Description: Sulfadoxide Pyrimethamine

Quantities Doses: 50,000

Bid Security Bid: 2.5% of Bidded 90 days price

Bid Validity: 90 days

Lot 3

Description: Rectal Artesunate

Quantities Doses: 50,000

Bid Security Bid: 2.5% of Bidded 90 days price

Bid Validity: 90 days

Qualifications requirements include:

• Evidence of previous supply (sale) of similar it proposed for the last 3 years.
• Audited Financial Statements for the last 3 years to demonstrate the financial capability of the Bidder in terms of Profitability and adequate working capital
• Evidence of availability of liquid asset or its kind
• A margin of preference for eligible National Contractors shall not apply.

Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 11:00- am 12th February, 2014.

• Bidders can quote for one or more Lots.
• Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
• A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address above and upon payment of a non refundable fee of N 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira only).
• The method of payment will be in cash.
• The document shall be collected by bidders or representatives.
• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Jigawa State Malaria Control Booster Project and inspect the bidding documents at the address given above from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 9am to 1pm on Friday, except on public holidays.
