This invitation follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in UNDB onIineAfDB84-818/12, Issue No. 818 of 16th March 2012and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.
 

Request for Expressions of Interest for Zaria Water Supply Expansion and Sanitation Project
 

The Federal Government of Nigeria on behalf of Kaduna State has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Zaria Water Supply Expansion and Sanitation Project, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for consultancy services Hygiene aid Sanitation/KAP Studies.
 

The services under this project are, KAP Studies/Design of Sanitation promotion Strategy.

The work is divided into four Phases as follows;

• Phase 1-Design and implement Knowledge Attitude and Practices (KAP) Survey, Marketing Strategy and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Programme
• Phase 2 -Design and implement a Sanitation and Hygiene Education Training Program
• Phase3- Putting in place Framework for Monitoring and Evaluation of behaviour change
• Phase 4- Tendering

 The Executing Agency is Kaduna State Water Board and the Implementation period for the four phases is estimated to be Nine (9) months

The Kaduna State Water Board now invites eligible Non-for-profit Organizations (NPOs, such as NGOs, Research organizations, universities) to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Non-for-profit Organization must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Non-for-profit Organizations may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of consultants “May 2008, revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org Borrowers are’ under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.
