Invitation to Tender for the Anambra State-Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP)

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation to tender is issued.

Bidding is open to bidders from all countries as defined, in the World Bank Rules of procedure for Procurement of Goods, Works and Services

The State Project Management Unit (SPMU) Anambra State - Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) on behalf of Anambra State Government invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for the construction of remediation works in the following lots:

Lot 1

• Site Description: Umudunu/Uruokpala Abagana Gully Works
• Location/LGA:  Abagana Community, Awka South LGA

Lot 2

• Site Description: ST. Thomas Aquinas/Nero’s Plaza Ifite Awka gully works
• Location/LGA: Ifite Akwa Communuty, Awka South LGA

Lot 3

• Site Description: Amachalla Awka gully works
• Location/LGA: Amachalla Awka Community, Awka South LGA

Lot 4

• Site Description: Omagba Onitsha gully works
• Location/LGA: Omagba Onitsha Community, Onitsha North LGA

Complete set of bidding documents for any of the lots may be at the office address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.) for one Lot only, and any additional lot will Include a fee of Ten Thousand naira (N10, 000) only.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the same address. The instructions to bidders and general conditions of contract contained in the bidding documents comply with the FGN Standard Bidding documents (SBD) for the procurement of Goods/Works.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid Opening and must be accompanied by security for each let as follows:

• Lot 1: Umudunu/Uruokpala Abagana Gully - N 14,879,933.95
• Lot 2: St. Thomas Aquinas/Nero’s Plaza Ifite  Awka gully - N 8,672,933.95
• Lot 3: Amachalla Awka gully- N10, 667,794.25
• Lot 4: Omagba Onitsha gully -N5, 855,449.00

• Bids shall be delivered, at the NEWMAP State Project Management Unit at the office address below:
• Bids will be opened at the same address at 12 noon local time on the same date and in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend
• Electronic bid submission will not be accepted.
• A pre-bid conference will be held at the address above on 10th February 2014 which is two weeks before bid opening by 12noon to allow potential bidders to seek clarifications on the bidding documents.
