This Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) follows the publication of the General Procurement Notice GPN for this project, which appeared in the UN Development Business Issue No: WB 1990 07/12 dated 13th July, 2012.

Invitation to Tender for the Erosion and Watershed Management Project                                                         

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation to tender is issued.
Bidding is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the World Bank Rules of procedure for Procurement of Goods, Works and Services.
The State Project Management Unit (SPMU), Ebonyi Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) on behalf of Ebonyi State Government invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for the construction of remediation works at Nguzu Edda Gully Erosion site in Afikpo South L.G.A;
Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security for the work as follows:

• Site Description: Reclamation and remediation works at Nguzu Edda (Afikpo South Local Govt. Headquarters) Gully Erosion catchment area
• Location/L.G.A.: Afikpo South L.G.A.
• Bid Security: N2.8M

Method of Application
Complete set of bidding documents for the work may be purchased at the office address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of fifteen thousand naira (N15, 000.00) only.

Please note:

• Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the same address. The instructions to bidders and general conditions of contract contained in the bidding documents comply with the FGN Standard Bidding Documents SBD for the procurement of works.
• Bids shall be delivered at the NEWMAP State Project Management Unit at the office address before the closing date.
• Bids will be opened at the same address at 12 noon local time on the same date of closing and in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.
• That electronic bid submission will not be accepted.
• A pre-bid conference will be held at the office address above on 4th March, 2014 which is two weeks before bid opening by 12noon to allow potential bidders to seek clarifications on the bidding documents.
