Invitation to Tender for Projects in Ofu Local Government, Kogi State

Ofu Local Government has taken the initiative to embark on development programmes that will meaningfully touch the lives of her rural community so as to ensure prudent utilization of the fund available to the council.

Invitation to Tender for Projects in Ofu Local Government

In line with these objectives, interested contractors are hereby invited to tender for the projects listed below-

• Lot 1: Extension of rural electrification to Owowolo Community
• Lot 2: Grading of road Agbeji-Owolowo town Ofolikpa
• Lot 3: Building of office block to the Local Government Council Education Secretary
• Lot4: Construction of motorized borehole to Owolowo Community
• Lot 5: Building of Police Post at Ogidibeje junction.

Qualification Requirements
Prospective contractors must satisfy the underlisted minimum requirements:

• Certificate of incorporation with CAC
• Three years Tax Clearance Certificate i.e. 2010, 2011, 2012
• VAT Registration Certificate
• Bank Reference Letter and Financial capability address to Tender Board Secretary Ofu LGA.
• Evidence of past experience of similar works executed in form of previous offer;
• Evidence of Registration with Ofu LGA Works Department
• Any other relevant information/documentation to enhance company’s application;

Payment for Tender
Prospective Contractors are eligible on payment of non-refundable fee as follows:

• N10, 000 for work less than N1, 000,000
• N20, 000 for work between N1, 000,000 -N2, 999,000
• N50, 000 for works above N3, 000,000

A receipt shall be issued by the LG Treasury Department a copy of which shall be enclosed in the bid document:

• The sale of tenders will commence from 10am on February 25th, 2014.

Submission of Tender Documents
All bidders’ documents should be in a sealed large envelope with the name of the company at the back addition to the LOT boldly written at the top right corner of the envelope. All bids must be addressed to:

Secretary, Ofu Local Government Tender Board,
Local Government Area Secretariat,
Ugwolawo.

Opening of Tender
The date of opening of tenders shall be 11 March, 2014 by 1pm at Council Hall, Local Government Area Secretariat Ugwolawo.

Closing date: 10th March, 2014
Time: 12:00pm

• Failure to satisfactorily fulfill the conditions stated above will invalidate such tender.
• No Tender documents shall be accepted after 12noon of the closing date of submission.
• The Local Government Area Tender Board shall reserve the to verify the authenticity of claim(s) made by bidders.
