Government of Enugu State invite to Tender for procurement of work for the Construction Remediation of some Gully Erosion Sites

This Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) follows the publication of the General Procurement Notice GPN for this project, which appeared in the UN Development Business Issue No: WB 1990— 07/12 dated 13th July 2012.
The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of the Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation to tender is issued.

Bidding is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the World Bank Rules of procedure for Procurement of Goods, Works and Services
The State project management Unit (SPMU), Enugu State-Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (ENS.NEWMAP) on behalf of Enugu State Government invites sealed bids from prospective bidders for the construction of remediation works as follows:

Site Description: Nineth Mile Corner Erosion Site
Location/LGA: Udi LGA
Security Bid: N 8.0 M

Site Description: Ajalli Water Works Gully Erosion Site
Location/LGA: Udi LGA
Bid Security: 7.9 M

Bidders may bid for any one or more lots and discounts offered for the award of combined lots will be considered in bid evaluation.
Complete set of bidding documents far the works may be purchased at the office address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of fifteen thousand naira (N15, 000, 00)

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the same address. The instructions to bidders and general conditions of contract contained in the bidding documents comply with the FGN Standard Bidding Documents SBD for the procurement of works.

Time: 12:00noon

Please note that:

• Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by bid security for the work as indicated above:
• Bids shall be delivered at the NEWMAP State Project Management Unit at the office address below:
• Bids will be opened at the same address at 12 noon local time on the same date and in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend, Please note that electronic bid submission will not be accepted.
• A pre-bid conference will be held at the office address below on 20th MARCH. 2014 which is two weeks before bid opening by 12noon to allow potential bidders to seek clarifications on the bidding documents.
