Invitation for Pre-Qualification and Financial Bidding at Abia State Polytechnic, Aba (Office of the Registrar)

The Abia State PoIytechnc Aba is desirous of commencing Phase 1 Physical development of her Osisioma Campus. Consequently, interested competent construction firms are hereby invited to pre-qualify and subsequently tender for the projects shown below.

Eligibility Criteria
Pre-qualification information will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Evidence of incorporation by CAC
2. Evidence of registration with Abia State Polytechnic Aba.
3. Company’s Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years
4. VAT registration and evidence or past VAT remittances.
5. Evidence of financial capability and banking support backed by bank statement and audit reports.
6. Verifiable evidence of previous experience in construction projects of similar magnitude (Attach Letters of Award and Certificates of Completion).
7. Experience/Technical qualification of key personnel to be employed in the project, if awarded.
8. Evidence of registration with PENCOM and Remittance of the required contribution to appropriate Pension Fund Administrators,
9. List of equipment proposed for use in the project and their sources.
10. Evidence of certificate of compliance by industrial training fund in line with the provisions of ITF Act 2011,

Collection of Bid Documents
Interested bidders are expected to obtain technical and financial bid documents for the project(s) of their choice from the Office of the Bursar Abia State Polytechnic, Aba. Bid documents are obtainable at the sum of N50, 000.00 for the hostels, and N30, 000.00 for the rest of the projects.

Submission of Bid Documents
The completed pre-qualification information with supporting documents (5 copies), and the financial bid (2 copies) shall be placed in two different sealed envelopes, marked, “Pre-qualification information for Abia Poly Osisioma Campus Physical Development” and “Financial Bid for Abia Poly Osisioma Campus Physical Development” respectively, with the name of the specific project written in bold letters at the top right hand corner of each envelope.

The two envelopes should then be placed in a third sealed envelope marked with the name of the specific project of interest, and addressed to the undersigned, with name of the contractor written on the back of the envelope.
Only suitably qualified contractors who participated in the pre-qualification exercise may be allowed to tender for the project.
