Invitation for Prequalification of Contractors for the Year 2013 Tetfund Special Intervention Project At the University Of Ilorin

In compliance with Due Process requirement for procurement of goods and services, the Management of the University of Ilorin Kwara State wishes to pre-qualify competent suppliers for the execution of the under listed approved Year 2013 TETFUND Special Intervention Projects:

Invitation for Prequalification of Contractors for the Year 2013 Tetfund Special Intervention Project At the University Of Ilorin

• Construction of Engineering Workshop;
• Procurement and installation of laboratory equipment for

(a)  Agricultural Engineering
(b)  Chemical Engineering
(c)  Civil Engineering

• Procurement and installation of laboratory equipment for

(a)  Electrical Engineering; and
(b)  Mechanical Engineering.

Pre-Qualification Criteria
Interested Contractors/Suppliers are invited to submit the following prequalification documents with verifiable evidence including, but not limited to the following:

1. Evidence of incorporation of company by Corporate Affairs Commission;
2. Evidence of the Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three years;
3. Company’s Audited Account for the past three years;
4. Evidence of VAT registration;
5. Company profile and organizational structure with list and resumes of technical staff;
6. Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act;
7. Evidence of compliance with ITF Amendment Act 2011;
8. List of similar jobs executed with evidence of names of Clients and Letters of Award;
9. Evidence of financial capability and banking support.
10. For Lots 2 and 3, evidence of partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturer’s for engineering equipment is required.

Verification of Claims
Please note that the University of Ilorin reserves the right to verify claims made in the Prequalification documents submitted by interested contractors / Suppliers.

Submission of Prequalification Documents
Two copies of all Prequalification documents to be submitted must be in a sealed envelope and marked at the top-right hand corner of the envelope “Pre-Qualification for (Project Name)”: addressed to:

These documents should be dropped in the Tender Box situated in the Reaistrar’s Office not later than 12 noon, on the closing date.

Opening of Prequalification Documents
The pre-qualification documents will be opened same day on Friday 29th August, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the University Boardroom, at the expiration of the time allowed for submission of documents. All the
Tenderers and the general public are invited to witness the opening of the pre-qualification exercise, in line with Due Process requirements.

• Tenderers that are interested in more than one project must apply separately for each LOT of the projects.
• Successful bidders shall be notified to collect the appropriate Tender Documents for the commercial/financial bidding.
• The University shall not enter into correspondence with any unsuccessful bidder.
