Invitation for Prequalification of Contractors for Needs Assessment, TETFUND, NLNG and Other Funds Capital Projects at University of Ilorin

The University of Ilorin intends to execute a number of projects which would be funded from sources as indicated below. Interested Contractors with relevant experience and good track records of performance are hereby invited to submit prequalification documents.

(A)  Needs Assessment Projects

Project Title: Documentation Fees 

1. Construction of Students Hostels Type A: 20,000.00
2. Construction of Students Hostels Type B: 20,000.00
3. Construction of a Block of Offices for College of Health Sciences Type A: 20,000.00
4. Construction of a Block of Offices for College of Health Sciences Type B: 20,000.00
5. Construction of a laboratory Block for Faailty of Pharmaceutical Sciences: 10,000.00
6. Construction of laboratory block for faculty of Agriculture: 10,000.00
7. Construction of Library for College of Health Sciences: 15,000.00
8. Construction of a Faculty block for Faculty of Veterinary Medicine: 15,000.00
9. Construction of a Block of offices for Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences: 15,000.00
10. Construction of Animal house: 10,000,00
11. Construction of link road between Main Campus and College of Health Sciences: 20,000,00
12. Upgrading of Water supply: 20,000.00
13. Electricity supply to College of Health Sciences: 10,000.00
14. Water supply of College of Health Sciences: 10,000.00
15. Road to Researchers Accommodation: 10000.00
16. Rehabilitation oftecture Theatres, laboratories and Hostels: 15,000.00
17. Construction of Lecture Halls: 10,000.00
18. Construction of Veterinary Teaching Hospital Complex: 15,000.00

(B)  TETFUND Project

Project Title: Documentation Fees

1. Extension of University Main Library: 15,000.00

(C)  NLNG Projects

Project Title: Documentation Fees 

1. Construction of NLNG Engineering Research Centre.
2. Supply of Equipment to Engineering Research Centre: 1500.00

(D)  Other Funds Projects

Project Title: Documentation Fees 

1. Supply of fire fighting truck with all accessories: 10,000.00

Prequalification Requirements Documents
Documents to be submitted shall include:

1. Evidence of Registeration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
2. Company profile and organizational structure, including names and resume of key personnel with addresses and phone numbers.
3. Evidence of registration of both the company and the key personnel with relevant professional bodies.
4. Verifiable list of previous similar major works carried out in the recent past with trick locations and clients. (Copies of Completion Certificates/final Payment Certificate should be attached.)
5. Evidence of current Tax Clearance Certificates for the last three years.
6. Evidence of registration of Staff with Pension Commission of Nigeria.
7. Provision of VAT Certificate.
8. Three years audited accounts of the company.
9. Evidence of Payment of appropriate documentation fees.
10. Evidence of Financial Capability/Reference letter from a reputable bank.
11. Evidence of payment of Industrial training contribution to the Industrial training Fund (ITF).

Closing Date:
1st September 2014

Submission of Documents
The pre-qualification documents shall be submitted to the Office of the Registrar, University of Ilorin. The envelope should be marked on the top left hand corner as follows:
"Prequalification documents plus name of project".
:Submission should be made on or before 1st September 2014".

Opening of Submission
The pre-qualification documents shall be opened at 12:30pm in the University Main Auditorium on the closing date.
All Contractors are invited to attend the opening exercise.

Please note that the University of Ilorin is neither committed nor obligated to short list any contractors or to award the contract to any contractor. The University reserves the right so reject any bid.
