Invitation for Submission of Technical Bids in Respect of 2011-2013 TETFUND MERGED Normal and 2013 Special Intervention Projects at Kaduna State University

Kaduna State University intends to utilize its 2011-2013 TETFUND Merged Normal and 2013 Special Intervention Allocations in the procurement of works and goods as under:

Lot 1:
Construction of 500 Seat Capacity Lecture Theatre;
Lot 2: Furnishing of 500 Seat Capacity Lecture Theatre;
Lot 3: Construction of Twin Lecture Halls;
Lot 4: Furnishing of Twin Lecture Halls; -
Lot 5: Construction of Post Graduate Lecture Classes;
Lot 6: Furnishing of Post Graduate Lecture Classes;
Lot 7: Construction of Computer Centre at Kafanchan;
Lot 8: Furnishing of Computer Centre at Kafanchan;
Lot 9: Expansion of Computer Centre at Kaduna;
Lot 10: Furnishing of Computer Centre at Kaduna;
Lot 11: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Biological Sciences;
Lot 12: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Biochemistry;
Lot 13: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Mathematical Sciences;
Lot 14: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Chemistry;
Lot 15: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Microbiology;
Lot 16: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Geography;
Lot 17: Procurement of Equipment for Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences;
Lot 18: Procurement of Equipment for Fac. Department of Physics Laboratory;
Lot 19: Procurement of 1 No. Water Tanker;
Lot 20: Procurement of 2No. Fire Engine;
Lot 21: Procurement of 1 No. Slasher;
Lot 22: Procurement of 1 No. Student Bus;
Lot 23: Furnishing of Clinical Laboratories and Procurement of Teaching Aids;
Lot 24: Construction of Multipurpose Technology Laboratory Complex, Kafanchan;
Lot 25: Procurement of Equipment for Multipurpose Technology Laboratory Complex Kafanchan;
Lot 26: Construction of 1000 Seat Capacity Auditorium Complex;
Lot 27: Supply and Installation of Office and Auditorium Furniture for 1000 seat Capacity Auditorium Complex;
Lot 28: Supply and Installation of ICT Equipment and Alternative Power Supply to 1000 Capacity Auditorium Complex;
Lot 29: Construction of Multipurpose Science Laboratory Multipurpose Complex;
Lot 30: Procurement of Furniture for Science Laboratory Complex; and
Lot 31: Procurement of Equipment for Multipurpose Science Laboratory Complex.

Prequalification Requirements

Reputable and interested contractors/vendors wishing to undertake the procurements are to indicate their intention by submitting Technical Bid documents in the following order:
  1. Evidence of Incorporation/Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C);
  2. Evidence of current Tax Clearance for the last three (3) years;
  3. Certified audited account for the last three (3) years;
  4. Verifiable evidence of similar jobs successfully executed;
  5. Experience and technical capabilities of the company including key staff and qualification;
  6. Evidence of financial capability/support and reference from a recognized Financial Institution/Bank;
  7. Evidence of VAT registration and remittance in the last three (3) years;
  8. Evidence of compliance with provision of the Pension Reform Act, 2004 as evidenced by a National PENCOM Commission Clearance Certificate;
  9. Evidence of compliance with provision of the Industrial Training Fund Ad, 2011 Section 6.
In addition to above, contractors interested in ‘LOT 1 and 26’ must show evidence of previous annual turnover. Contractors with annual turnover of less than N500million need not apply for these Lots.

Closing Date:

25th September 2014

Submission of Bid

Submission is to be made in sealed envelope clearly marked ‘TECHNICAL’ indicating the Lot No under submission.
Bid is to be enclosed in a single envelope properly addressed and submitted to the Secretary, Tenders Committee in the office of the Registrar, Kaduna State University, Tafawa Balewa Way, Kaduna on or before Thursday September 25th 2014. Submission shall be opened by 11.00am same day at the Senate Chamber of the University.
