Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Contractors for the Year 2013 TETFUND Special Intervention Project at College of Education Oju

The College of Education Oju Benue State intends to undertake pie-qualification exercises for the Year 2013 Special Intervention Projects at the College for the following projects:

1. Construction of Introductory Technology Workshop;
2. Procurement and installation of workshop equipment for

• Carpentry Workshop
• MetalworkWorkshop

       3.  Procurement and installation of laboratory equipment for

• Automotive Workshop
• Electrical Workshop; and
• Building Workshop.

Pre-Qualification Criteria
Interested Contractors/Suppliers are invited to submit the following prequalification documents with verifiable evidence including, but not limited to the following:

1. Evidence of incorporation of company by Corporate Affairs Commission.
2. Evidence of the Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three years;
3. Company’s Audited Account for the past three years;
4. Evidence of VAT registration;
5. Company profile and organizational structure with list and resumes of technical staff;
6. Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act;
7. Evidence of compliance with ITF Amendment Act 2011;
8. List of similar jobs executed with evidence of names of Clients and Letters of Award;
9. Evidence of financial capability and banking support; and
10. Any other document that will enhance the potential of the company.
11. For Lots 2 and 3, evidence of partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturer’s for engineering equipment is required.

Verification of Claims
Please note that the College of Education Oju Benue State reserves the right to verify claims made in the Prequalification documents submitted by interested contractors or suppliers.

Submission of Prequalification Documents
Two copies of all Prequalification documents to be submitted must be in a sealed envelope and marked at the top-right hand corner of the envelope “PreQualification for (Project Name)”, addressed to:

The Registrar
College of Education Oju
P.M.B 2035, Otukpo
Benue State, Nigeria.

These documents should be dropped in the Tender Box situated in the Registrars Office not later than 12 noon Friday, 26th of September 2014.

Opening of Prequalification Documents
The pre-qualifIcation documents will be opened same day on Friday 26th September, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the College Boardroom, at the expiration of the time allowed for submission of documents. All the Tenderers and the general public are invited to witness the opening of the pre-qualification exercise, in line with Due Process requirements.

• Tenderers that are interested in more than one project must apply separately for each LOT of the projects.
• Successful bidders shall be notified to collect the appropriate Tender Documents for the commercial/financial bidding.
• The College shall not enter into correspondence with any unsuccessful bidder.
