Expression of Interest in Developing Study Materials/Packs for the Computer Professional Examination (CPE) at the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria)

Computer Professionals (Registration council of Nigeria) is a Federal Government Agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and controlling the practice of IT Profession in Nigeria. The Council has as one of its responsibilities the conduct of professional examinations in Computing, InformatIon Technology and other IT-related programmes. The Computer Professional Examination (CPE) is designed with the aim of developing and nurturing the potentials of Nigerian youths and adults alike that are interested in making a career out of Information Technology.

Expression of Interest in Developing Study Materials/Packs for the Computer Professional Examination (CPE) 

The objective
The Council recently reviewed the syllabus for the Computer Professional Examinations (CPE] and now seeks to develop study packs/materials for the courses of the reviewed syllabus. Interested resource persons, computer training institutes etc are hereby invited to submit Expression of Interest (Eol) for these study materials/packs.

Description of Requirements

• The syllabus is categorised into core courses and non-core courses
• Core courses shall have not less than three authors from different locations in the country.
• Non- Core courses shall have not less than two authors from different locations.
• All the study materials must be ready by 30th of November, 2014.
• Expression of interest, addressed to the Registrar of Council, must get to the Councii Secretariat on or before the 8th of October, 2014.
• It is only qualified and eligible applicants that will be contacted.

Qualifying Criteria

1. There must be a minimum of three writers per module; These writers will come from different institutions.
2. Interested resource person(s) expressing interest are expected to demonstrate competence to undertake this task or evidence of past study materials/packs developed.
3. Interested resource persons expressing interest must have a minimum of M.Sc or MIT in Computer Science or related courses and must be in full academic employment or must be full time practicing professionals.
4. Interested resource person(s) must be registered and up to date member(s) of the Council the Eol submission should detail the following minimum requirements as a basis of pre-qualification:

• Full name, e-mail address (es) and telephone number(s)
• Faculty profile/Academic qualifications
• Years of experience
• Affiliations with relevant rofessionaI bodies
• Evidence of capability and previous experience in undertaking a similar task.
