Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is a parastatal company that is the nation-wide licensee, owner and operator of the Nigerian transmission system, which consists of high voltage 330 kV and 132 kV lines, substations and control facilities. Across Nigeria, TCN is divided into eight transmission regions, which report to TCN headquarters in Abuja.

Invitation to Pre-Qualify for Turnkey Transmission Projects 

This request for qualifications seeks to identify a shortlist of contractors for contractor-financed turnkey transmission projects. Applicants who prequalify will be eligible to enter into deferred payment asset sale contracts resulting from the bidding for which this prequalification is conducted.

Scope of Works

The contract facilities will consist of rehabilitation, repair, replacement and expansion of 330kV & 132kV lines and 330/132kV & 132/33kV substations and transformers. The contract Facilities are located nationwide The scope of works shall include all engineering, procurement and construction services, including supply and installation Of new equipment, adaptation and repair of existing equipment, spares, tools and whatever may be necessary to have complete installations of the contract facilities.

Eligible Contractors

Applicants must meet all prequalification criteria shown in the RFQ document, and have the means to procure their own financing for the Project. TCN prefers a repayment period extending over a minimum of seven (7) years following the date of commissioning.

Request for Qualifications

TCN now invites eligible contractors to submit their qualifications for the provision of the required services. Applicants must complete the application forms and demonstrate that they meet the prequalification criteria shown in the REQ document, which can be downloaded from the following website: http://www.nepapmu.org.ng/

Deadline for Applications:

All completed pre-qualification documents should be submitted electronically, not later than 5pm, Friday 28th November, 2014.

One original copy (printed) of the completed pre-qualification documents should be submitted in sealed envelope, clearly marked "Invitation to Pre-Qualify for Turnkey Transmission Projects". The names and mailing addresses the applicant company must be clearly marked on the envelope bearing the submission, which must be delivered by hand or registered mail not later than 5pm on Friday, 28th November, 2014, to:
