The ABUTH Board of Management invites interested and reputable building and civil engineering Contractors with relevant experience and good track record to tender for the Extension of Nuclear Medicine Centre Building at ABUTH, Permanent site, Shika, Zana.

Invitation to Tender for the Extension of Nuclear Centre Building under the 2014 Capital Budget 

Eligibility/Mandatory Criteria:

In order to be consicered to tender for the above project, bidders must submit the following
  1. Certificate of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC),
  2. Current Company Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years (2011 —2013)
  3. Company Audited Account for the last three years (2011— 2013)
  4. VAT Registration and evidence of Remittance in the last three years (2011 —2013)
  5. Evidence of Remittance of Pension contribuflon funds for staff of the company from reputable Pension Administrators as provided in section 16. Sub secbon 6(d) of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
  6. Evidence of payment of Training contribution to ITF for staff of the company as provided in section 6(1-3) of the Amended ITF Act 2011.
  7. Contractor MUST show evidence of executing a similar job that has to do with construction of Bunkers, which are verifiable and are successfully executed/ongoing with letters of award and completion certificates. Only letters of award and iritenm certificate of payment should be attached for projects that are ongoing
Selective Criteria:
In addition to the above, bidders should also submit the following.
  • Evidence of Financial capability to execute the project i.e Bank reference and a letter of credit facility from a reputable commercial Bank with a commitment to provide loan facility for the execution of the contract if eventually won.
  • List of Managerial staff, key Technical staff and Administrative staff of the Company which should include names, CV’s and copies of certificate of each staff.
  • List of equipments owned or lease-hold by the company relevant for smooth execution of the project. Evidence of ownership and pictures with company logo is an added advantage
Collection of Tender Document
Tender document are to be collected between 8:30am 3:30pm Monday-Friday from
Office of the Head
Works and Maintenance Services Department,
Ahmadu BeIlo University Teaching Hospital, Permanent Site, Shika Zaria.


The Tender Documents in this respect will be available for collection as from Wednesday October 8, 2014, with evidence of payment of Non-Refundable sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000.00) from the cash office, Finance Department, ABUTH Shika Zaria, not later than Wednesday November 19th, 2014.

Submission of Tender Documents

Fully completed Financial Bid Documents should be enclosed in an envelope sealed and marked “FINANCIAL PROPOSAL FOR THE EXTENSION OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE CENTRE BUILDING AT ABUTH PERMANENT SITE SHIKA ZARIA” while the Technical Bid Documents should be enclosed in a separate envelope sealed and marked “TECHNICAL DOCUMENT FOR THE EXTENSION OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE CENTRE BUILDING AT ABUTH PERMANENT SITE SHIKA ZARIA”. Both envelopes should be dropped in a bigger envelope (indicating bidders name and address on the reverse side) and addressed to

The Tender Documents should be deposited in the Tenders Box situated at the office of the Chief Medical Director. ABUTH Zaria, not later than 1:30pm, Wednesday November 19th, 2014.

Opening of Tender Documents

The Bids shall be opened publicly by 1:30pm, Wednesday November 19th, 2014, at the Board room of Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika Zaria.

  • Submission of Tender Document to ABUTH, Zana is neither a commitment nor an obligation to award any contract to any Contractor/Supplier or Agent.
  • Due diligence should be followed as all documents submitted would be verified. Past executed works and supplier/contractor offices may be visited.
  • Any discrepancy found would summarily disqualify the bidder.
