This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online No.760 of 17 September, 2009 on-line and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.

Invitation for Bids-Without PrequaIification for the Execution of Some Projects 

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project in Oyo State. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Rehabilitation and Expansion of Ibadan Distribution Network.

The Water Corporation of Oyo State now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the execution of the works:

Lot 1: Osegere Scheme; Construction of Water Distribution Network, Booster Pumping Station, Ground Level Reservoir and Elevated Water Tank.

Scope of Works:

1. Supply and Laying of 152km HDPE and DI Transmission and Distribution mains,
2. Construction of Osegere Underground Reservoir (2000m3) and Lalupon Elevated Service Reservoir (1700m3)
3. Construction of Booster Pumping Station.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office address below during office hours (8:00AM - 4PM) on weekdays only.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of (NGN50,000 (U$D 312.50) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be in Cheque or Bank Draft, made out in favour of Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project in Oyo State.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Works.

Submission
Bids must be delivered to the office address below on or before 12:00 noon on 9th December, 2014 and must be accompanied by a security of NGN65,000,000 (U$D 406,250) or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 2:00 pm on 9th December, 2014 at the Board Room, Water Corporation of Oyo State, State Secretariat, Ibadan, Nigeria.
