Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Position of Project Coordinator at Kaduna State Government

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the implementation of the Public Sector Governance Reform and Development Project. The overall objective of the project is to improve transparency, accountability quality in public finance and human resource management systems, with a view to strengthen governance in the participating states in Nigeria. Kaduna State Government is a beneficiary of the àredit and intends to use part of the proceeds for the engagement of Project Coordinator.

Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Position of Project Coordinator 

Scope of Work
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the State Project Coordinating Unit (SPCU) work which will include the following:

1. Supervising the implementation of the project to ensure that yearly work plans are achieved.
2. Developing yearly programmes, procurement plans and financial budget for the project.
3. Liaising and collaborating with the sub-components management teams and desk officers in preparation of action plans based on the project.
4. Providing technical guidance to the management committees of the project.
5. Preparing mandatory reports on the implementation of the project to the relevant agencies/committees.
6. Liaising with the National Project Coordination Unit and International Development Association on project supervision and implementation support mission.
7. Monitoring and evaluating project activities.
8. Overseeing the management of IDA funds.
9. Serving as Secretary to Project Coordinating Committee and the State Steering Committee.

Kaduna State Government now invites eligible candidates who will be in the rank of a Director (or equivalent if appointed from outside the civil service) or above to indicate interest in providing the above services. Interested persons must provide adequate information indicating their qualifications, experience and competency in similar or related assignment and the appropriate skill for this assignment.

Selection of the Project Coordinator
The Project Coordinator will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011).
