Bids are hereby invited from interested and reputable contractors with relevant experience and good track record for the following projects:

  20. Supply and Installation of Computers for the Computer Based Testing/Centre (CBT) in the Distance Learning Centre (DLC): 30,000.00
  21. Construction of the Basketball Court at the New Stadium: 30,000.00
  22. TETFUND SPECIAL INTERVENTION (African Union Institute of Life and Earth Sciences of the PAN African University): 30,000.00
  23. Construction of the Administrative/Classroom Complex: 30,000.00
  24. Construction of One Storey Hostel Block: 30,000.00
  25. External Works for the proposed Administrative/Classroom Complex and Hostel Block: 30,000.00
  26. Procurement of 1 No Toyota Coaster Bus, 30-Seater, Petrol Engine, AC 5-Speed Manual Transmission, Power Steering and other Accessories (VAT inclusive): 30,000.00
  27. Procurement of 1 No Toyota Hiace Bus, 18 Seater, Petrol Engine, AC 5-Speed Manual Transmission, Power Steering and other Accessories (VAT inclusive): 30,000.00
  28. Supply and Installation of 30No H Desktop Computers for proposed Cybercafe: 30,000.00
  29. Supply and Installation of Inverter with Solar Panels 3 X 10KVA: 30,000.00
  30. Supply of Water Chemicals and Laboratory Reagents for University of Ibadan Water Treatment Plant: 30,000.00
  31. Rehabilitation of Inverter Systems in Halls of Residence: 30,000.00
Bidding Criteria
Submission of:
  1. Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC):
  2. Company Profile and Organization Structure, including names and resume of key personnel with address and phone numbers;
  3. Evidence of Registration of both the company and the key personnel with relevant professional bodies:
  4. Verifiable list of previous/similar major works carried out in the recent past with their locations and clients. (Copies of completion Certificate/Final Payment certificate should be attached):
  5. Current Tax Clearance certificate for the past three (3) years:
  6. Provision of VAT Certificate:
  7. List of equipment to be used for the project and their locations;
  8. Three years audited accounts of the company (2011, 2012, 2013)
  9. Annual turnover as stated in a verifiable tax clearance certificate;
  10. Evidence of Financial Capability/Reference letter from a reputable bank;
  11. Provision of Certificate of Compliance from Industrial Training Fund (ITF);
  12. Provision of Certificate of Comphance from Pension Commission (PENCOM); and
  13. For Joint Ventures, Memorandum of Understanding must be attached.
Collection of Bidding Forms
The bidding documents are to be collected from the Office of Director of Works and Maintenance upon the payment of the appropriate non-refundable Tender Fee.

Closing Date

Submission of Tender closes on Friday, 5th December, 2014 at 12,00noon. Any Tender received after this stated date and time will not be considered. Duly submitted Tenders would be opened same day immediately after the stated closing time in the Senate Chamber of the University.

Submission of Documents

Duly completed bids should be neatly packaged for the review of the University. It should be hand-delivered to:

Bursar and Secretary,
Procurement Planning Committee,
Bursary Department,
University of Ibadan,
Ibadan.


The title of the project should be written at the top left-hand comer of the covering envelope and should not bear the name of the tendering contractor.

  • The University of Ibadan is neither committed nor obliged to shortlist any Contractor or to award the contract to any Contractor or Agent.
  • The University reserves the right to reject any and/or all bidding packages.
  • The University will only recognize and correspond with only authorized officers of the tendering companies and NOT through individuals oragents acting on their behalf.
  • This advertisement for invitation shall neither be construed as a commitment on the Part of the University nor shall it entitle any contractor to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from the University of Ibadan.
