Invitation to Pre-Qualification and Tender for the NLNG-CSR Support Project to ABU for the Supply, Installation and Training for Equipment for the NLNG Multriuser Laboratories Faculty of Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

 The Nigeria LNG Limited (NINE) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is supporting Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in the refurbishing/building and equipping of a modern laboratory that will advance the study of Science, Technology and Engineering courses.

Invitation to Pre-Qualification and Tender for the NLNG-CSR Support Project to ABU for the Supply, Installation and Training for Equipment for the NLNG Multriuser Laboratories Faculty of Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The University is therefore looking for contractors/vendors who are registered with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or their representatives to supply, installand train the Maintenance Engineers/Users. The equipment, machines and instruments to be supplied are grouped as follows:

LOT A: Supply, installation and training for equipment for Agricultural and the Civil Engineering Laboratory.
LOT B: Supply, installation and training for equipment for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Laboratory.
LOT C: Supply, imtallation and training for equipment for the Chemical and Water Resources Engineering laboratory.
LOT D: Supply, installation and training for equipment for the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory.
LOT E: Supply, Installation and training for equipment for the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Laboratory.

Prequalification Criteria
The preqaulification documents should include:

1. Evidence of incorporation/registration with Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC)
2. Company current tax clearance certificate for the last three year (3) years (2011 to 2013)
3. Company audited account for the last three years (2011 to 2013) certified by a chartered accountant /auditor.
4. VAT registration and evidence of remittance in the last three years (2011-2013) to be attached,
5. Evidence of Financial capability to execute the project. Bank reference and a letter of credit facility from reputable commercial bank with commitments to provide loan facility for the execution of the contract if eventually won.
6. List of similar verifiable and successfully executed projects or ongoing by the company with letters of award and interim certificates of payment should be attached for project that is ongoing.
7. List of Managerial, Key Technical and Administrative Staff of the company which should include names, curriculum vitea and copies of certificate for each key staff
8. List of Equipment owned or on lease hold by the company relevant for smooth execution of the project. Evidence of ownership and pictures with company Logo is an added advantage.
9. Evidence of remittance of pension contribution fund for staff of the company from reputable pension funds administrators (PEA) as provided in section 16 sub-section 6 (d) of the Public Prucurement Act, 2007.
10. Evidence of compliance with the provisions of the industrial training fund amendment act as stipulated in section 6 (1)-(3).
11. Evidence of community social responsibility service
12. Original documents should be available for sighting on demand during or after the opening of the pre-qualification and tender documents.
13. Evidence of registration or affiliation with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)

Collection of tender documents
Interested contractorsNendors are to collect the tender documents from SHELL PROFESSORiAL CHAIR in Mechanical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Main Campus after payment of N20, 000.00 only at the Cash Office, Senate Building.

Submission of pre-qualification and tender documents
Pre-qualification and tender documents should be bound in wax-sealed envelope with “pre-qualification and tender as Contractor or Supplier” written at the top right hand corner and LOT Interested in clearly indicated and addressed to: the Registrar Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The documents should be hand delivered into the pre-qualification and tender box in the Registrar’s office 7th floor Senate Building not later than 8th December, 2014 by 12:00noon.

Opening prequalification and tender documents
Prequalification and tender documents will be opened on Monday 8th December, 2014 by 2:00pm at the Assembly Hall ABU, Samaru Zaria.
All interested members of the public especially intending contractors/Suppliers/Vendors are hereby invited.

• Submission of prequalification and tender documents to ABU ZARIA is neither a commitment nor an obligation to award contract to any Contractor/Supplier or his agent.
• Advertisement for pre-qualificatien and tender should not be construe as a commitment on the part of ABU, Zaria or shall entitle any Contractor/Supplier to make any claims whatsoever or seek any Indemnity from ABU, Zaria.
• Due diligence would be followed as all documents submitted would be verified. Past executed works, contractors’ offices, Plants and Equipment may be visited for verification. Any discrepancies found would summarily disqualify the Contractor/vendor.
