Invitation for Expression of Interest in Competitive Bidding for Mining Lease 19 (Ririwai Mines) at the Mining Cadastre Office

The Mining Cadastre Office of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development wishes to offer through competitive bidding as provided in Section 9 of the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act, 2007, Mining Lease 19 (19ML) located in Ririwai, Doguwa Local Government Area of Kano State.

Invitation for Expression of Interest in Competitive Bidding for Mining Lease 19 (Ririwai Mines) 

19ML covers a poly-metallic lode ore deposit containing cassiterite and sphalerite as the major minerals with galena, chalcopyrite, columbite and wolf ramite as minor minerals.

Various exploration activities carried out in the past had facilitated the commencement of Ririwai Underground Mine development works in the 70s. Feasibility Studies were also carried out on the deposit in 1979 and 1985.

Submission
Companies interested in participating in the bidding exercise are required to submit their Expression of Interest to the Mining Cadastre Office not later than 10th December, 2014 containing the following details:

1. Comprehensive Company Profile
2. Evidence of Company Registration
3. Evidence of Tax Clearance for the last three years for companies registered in Nigeria
4. Evidence of previous experiences in exploration and mining activities
5. Audited Company Accounts for the last three years
6. Evidence of Technical and Financial capability
7. Evidence of PENCOM and ITF registration
8. Any other information that may enhance the company’s chances of securing Mining Lease 19.
