Drilling and Civil Engineering Firms are Needed by the Kaduna State Government

The Kaduna State Government in collaboration with DFID/UNICEF (Sanitation, Hygiene and Water in Nigeria) Project is desirous of contributing towards reduction of Water and Sanitation-related diseases and also to improve access to Rural Water Supply in our communities.

In line with this objective, the programme seeks to engage competent Drilling and Civil Engineering firms in the Construction of Water and Sanitation facilities in the 11 Self-Selected SHAWN II Project LGAs of Kaduna State.

Accordingly, the Kaduna State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) hereby invites bids from interested Contractors for the Construction of:

• 240 Nos, Hand-pump Boreholes (24 Lots) .
• Rehabilitation of 550 Hand Pump Bore Holes (6lots) and 268 Nos. Gender Sensitive VIP latrines in Rural Primary Schools (67 Lots) in the 11 targeted SHAWN II LGAs.

Bidders should note that their firm must satisfy Due Process requirements including Registration as a Borehole Drilling Contractor with The Kaduna State Ministry of Water Resources to be eligible for consideration Details of the requirements are included in the Tender Dossier.

Method of Bidding
Interested Firms can obtain bid documents from Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) Kaduna State No. Ali Akilu Road Kaduna on payment of a Non-Refundable Fees of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for each Lot, payable to Kaduna State Government (Skye Bank acct  no. 1790220190).

Completed Technical and Financial Bids proposals should be submitted in sealed envelopes indicating lots quoted within two weeks of this publication to:
The Director General,
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA),
No.1 Ali Akilu Road Kaduna,
Kaduna.

Subsequently, bids shall be opened same day by 2:00pm in the presence of Bidders and members of the General public who may wish to attend the Bids Opening. This process is being monitored by Kaduna State Public Procurement Agency and DFID/UNICEF to ensure strict compliance with the agreed procurement Act.
