The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, Wishes to Procure the Services of Insurance Companies/Organizations to Provide General Insurance Service.

The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria, a Parastatal under he supervision of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, has provision in its 2017 budget to Procure General Insurance Cover for the Institute's assets. The institute's wishes to procure the services of Insurance Companies/Organizations with specific Expertise and Track Record to Provide General Insurance Service.

Pre-qualificatlon Requirement
the  institute here by invites eligible Insurance Companies to express their interest in providing the service: interested Insurance companies are requested to submit Pre-qualification documents consisting of the following:

•  Evidence of Registration/Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
• Evidence of Registration with NAICOM.
• Evidence of Registration with Bureau of Public Procurement's (BPP) National Data Base of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by inclusion of an Interim Registration Report (IRR)
• Evidence of compliance with pension reform Act, 2004 by inclusion of a valid pension Clearance Certificate from PENCOM.
• Evidence of compliance with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) amendment ACT,  2011 by inclusion of a copy or copies of compliance certificate of remittances. Tax Clearance Certificate for three (3) preceding years (i.e. 2014,2015 & 2016).
• Profile of Insurance Company Including details of Directors and Management, total staff strength and experience.
• Evidence of payment of claims In the three(3) preceding years (i.e. 2014,2015 &2016).
• Audited account of the company for three (3)preceding years (i.e. 2014,2015 & 2016).
• Evidence of similar Insurance cover provided in the preceding three (3) years (i.e. 2014,2015 & 2016).
• Sworn affidavit indicating that all document are genuine and verifiable.

Duration of the Insurance Cover
The Insurance cover is for one (1)calendar year.
Submission Of Document
The Pre-Qualification documents duly signed by the company's Managing Director re to be submitted in sealed envelopes Marked ";Expression Of Interest For Provision Of Insurance Cover For The Institute's Assets " at the top left hand corner of the envelope to:

Interested companies should specify  the nature of services they intend to render [whether as Broker or Under-writer].

Pre-Qualification documents must be hand delivered or by Registered mail to the above address within four [4] weeks from the date of this publication [on or before 12.00 noon, Monday, 7th August, 2017, The documents would be opened at 12.00 noon on Monday, 7th August, 2017 in the Director General/Chief Executive's Conference Room. All Interested members of the public and Civil Society Organizations are invited to attend.
