Project Officer(MIS) and an Accounting Clerk Needed for the Ekiti State Community and Social Development project

The Federal Government of Nigeria is inviting Qualified/competent Project officer and Account Clerk to submit tenders and expression for the execution of the Ekiti State Community and Social Development project .




The Federal Government of Nigeria has received additional credit from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of Ekiti State Community and Social Development Project (EKCSDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments for the services of (1) Project Officer (Management Information System) and (2) Account clerk, for Ekiti State Community and Social Development Project.

Position: Project Officer(Management Information System)
Qualifications:
At least a first degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics engineering; Computer Science, Management and Information technology and other related fields with at least 5 years post qualification experience, two of which must have been in the design, development and implementation of databases and client Server Software applications.
Knowledge and experience with development tools, client side rapid applications development and experience using friendly report generator and work experience in donor agency’s environment would be an added advantage.

Scope Services:
  • Design and prepare CSDP Management Information System operational manual;
  •  Assess the information needs for the various components of the StateAgency and give advice for action;
  • Design and review alongside other project staff the data collection and
  • report writing forms at the different stages of the microproject cycle;
  • Prepare technical specifications for the procurement of necessary MIS
  • hardware and software applications and participate in bid evaluation to guide other members of the team.
  • Monitor the operations of the Management Information Systems,
  • Geospatial Database (GPRS/GIS), the Monitoring, Evaluation and
  • Procurement Information Software System (MEVAPISS), and the Agency’s
  • WEB page;
  • Upgrade hardware and software and maintain the Agency’s server and offer regular advice on its management;
  • Develop reports or formats using existing MIS data;
  • Develop and prepare the required documents using a friendly report generator;
  • A good working knowledge of network development and management (WAN/LAN) Server maintenance and upgrade; WEB portal design and management.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned bythe M&E Manager
Position Account Clerk
At least OND in Accounting from a recognized institution with two (2) years’ post- qualification experience in accounts department of a reputable organization.

Responsibilities:
He or She will be reporting to the Assistant Project Accountant
Preparation of vouchers and Bank schedules
He or she will assist in keeping of petty cash and other financial matters that might be given to him/her by the Management.
