Nigerian Stored Products Research institute is a Federal Government Parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with Mandate into Post Harvest Storage Research of farm produce and animal products.

Eligibility
Interested and Prospective contractors, Suppliers and Service providers are required to submit their company's profiles with the following documents:

A
  • Evidence of registration with Bureau of Public procurement( PP).
  • Evidence of compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Provisions.
  • Value Added Tax Registration certificate with Tax Identification Number (TlN).
  • Certificate of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission.
  • Evidence of Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the past three years i.e. 2015, 2016 and ending December2017.
  • Evidence of compliance with the-provisions of the pension Reform Act 2014.
  • Company's audited account for the last three years List of equipment's to be used for the project and their Locations( where applicable).
  • Letter of consent from professionals to be engaged on the project and their qualifications.
  • Evidence of financial capability. A Bank's reference letter indicating readiness to finance the project if the applicant's bid is successful.
  • An affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of this institute's relevant committee on procurement is a former or current Director, Share Holder or has any pecuniary interest in the applicant's company.
  • An affidavit of not having any director of the prospective company convicted for any offence relating to fraud or financial impropriety.
  • Verifiable evidence of similar jobs done within the last three years stating the names of clients, locations of projects. letters of contract award, certificate of practical completion or last valuation certificate where the projects are still on-going.
Evaluation Criteria/Requirements.
Bids that fulfills all the requirement stated in above, shall further be subjected to Technical Evaluation based on the under listed requirement and only bids that were adjudged to be technically competent and meet the minimum qualifying score will be qualified for participation at the financial tenders stage:
  • Evidence of Financial capabilities supported with Bank Statement and commitment from a reputable Bank.
  • Detailed company's Profile with curriculum vitae of key officers/professional personnel including photocopies of relevant Professional/Technical Certificates/Qualifications.
  • Evidence of registration with relevant Professional bodies such as COREN, ARCON, and CORBON.
  • Unabridged company's Audited Annual Reports for the last three years i.e. 2014, 2015 and 2016.
  • Evidence of ownership of equipment, or lease agreement notarized by court of Law.
  • Photocopies of letters of Awards and completion certificate of successful completion of similar jobs done.
Collection of Tender
Tenders can be collected from the procurement unit of the Institute, Block A Room 2, KM 3, Asa Dam Road, Ilorin on payment of N15,000.00 ( non refundable tender fee). Payable to Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (consultancy) e-collection Account 0080176361011 through Remitta Platform.

Submission of Tender

Completed bidding documents consisting of technical mid financial bids should-be in separate envelopes and marked accordingly. The two bids should be enclosed in one big sealed envelope indicating the contract name and lot. Bid are to be dropped in the tender box placed between the hours of 10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday everyday at:
Room 2, Block A of the Procurement Unit,
Km 3, Asa Dam,
Ilorin.


Deadline for submission of Tenders

All tenders must be submitted on or before 12 noon 14th September, 2017. Bids will be opened in the public immediately after the deadline at the conference room of the Institute KM 3, Asa Dam Road ilorin. Bidders or their representatives are expected to be in attendance.

  • Prospective contractors, Suppliers and service providers must note that late submission of bids will not be entertained as all bids submitted late will be returned un-opened to the bidders.
  • Any bid submitted in the wrong place or through posting wIll not be treated
  • Completion period must be clearly stated in the financial bids.
