The Ekiti State Waste Management Authority invites reputable, qualified contractors to submit tender bids for the following works:




Ekiti State Waste Management Authority was established by the law No 7, 2000 and amended by the law 18, August 21st, 2020. The agency is saddled with the responsibility of keeping the state clean through regular collection of wastes from individual houses, establishment, institutions, and other designated areas and disposal of wastes to avoid refuse palliation, environmental blightedness and epidemic development. Also, the agency sets guidelines and monitors private sector participation in the collection of wastes and in turn, increase the revenue generated from the state.

Preamble
The Ekiti State Waste Management Authority announces the vacancy for engagement of Private Sector Partner (PSP) for the house-to-house collection of waste in the state. The PSP operators wil be licensed by the agency to collect wastes at the designated streets, houses, refuse palliation, environmental pollution and epidemic development.

Bid Requirements
The Tenders for these projects will be in two (2) parts:

Technical Bid

This will involve the presentation of necessary proof of technical competence and capacity to execute such projects. The proof should include the following:
  • Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  • Evidence of registration and categorization with the Bureau of Public Procurement
  • Evidence of Company Profile including profile of key professional and Technical Personnel
  • Evidence of the Ekiti State Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) financial years
  • Evidence of payment of Development Levy for the last three (3) financial years
  • Evidence of registration of Business Premises with the Ministry of Industries, Trade and Investment (MITI) or other appropriate MDAs
  • Refer letter from a Reputable entity
  • The contract fees shall be at 65% to 35% monthly Gross Revenue generated from the scheme in the first year, subject to review
  • Evidence of previous relevant/similar experience in terms of waste collection and disposal,volume,complexity,and management in the last three (3) years
Commercial Bid
This wil involve the presentation of schedule of work from Monday to Sunday of waste collections, list and photographs of the equipment of the company.
  • The equipment must include:
    • Compactor Truck
    • Tipping Cabster
    • Gloves, Uniforms and raincoat and other safety equipment.

    • Commercial bid document

  • No bidder is considered responsive unless both the Technical and Commercial Bids are submitted
