The Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti invites interested, reputable and experienced contractors to indicate interest by submitting tender bids for the following projects:




The Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido- Ekiti, a tertiary health institution, in implementation of her 2021 Appropriation Act for Capital Projects and in compliance with the Public Procurement Act, 2007 hereby invites all interested, qualified and reputable contractors with relevant experience and track record of excellence previous performance to tender for the following projects:

Eligibility Requirements
  • Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including Articles of Association, Form CAC 1.1 or CAC2 and CAC7;
  • Evidence of Company Income’s Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years valid till 31st December, 2021
  • Evidence of Pension Clearance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2021 (applicable where number of staff is at least 15);
  • Evidence of Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2021 (applicable where number of staff is at least 5 or at least N50m turn over);
  • Evidence of current Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Clearance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2021;
  • Evidence of Registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by submission of Interim Registration Report (IRR) expiring on 31/12/2021 or valid Certificate issued by BPP
  • Sworn affidavit:
    • That none of the Directors of the company has ever been convicted by any Court of Law
    • Disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committees of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars,
    • That the Company is not bankrupt or a party to liquidation proceedings in any Court of Law
  • Company’sAudited Accounts for the last three (3) Years (i.e. 2018,2019 and 2020)
  • Verifiable documentary evidence of at least three (3) similar jobs executed in the last five(S) years including Letters of award, Valuation Certificates, Completion Certificates, Photographs of the projects and direct contact of the Clients. 
  • Reference letter from reputable commercial bank in Nigeria indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the execution of the project when needed.
  • Detailed Company profile to include the names, phone numbers. Curriculum Vitae and credentials of Technical and Management Staff.
  • Evidence of qualification of at least three (3) Key Technical Personnel with relevant Professional Bodies such as COREN. ARCON,QSRBON, CORBON, etc.
  • Category B: Letter of Authorization from the Original Equipment Manufacturers listed in the Approved Policy for Procurement of Health and Medical Equipment for Tertiary Hospitals in Nigeria;
  • Category A: List of Plants/Equipment with proof of Ownership/Lease;
  • All documents for submission must be transmitted with a covering/Forwarding letter under the /Firm’s Letter Head Paper bearing among others, the Registration Number (RC), Contact Address, Telephone Number (Preferably GSM) and E-mail Address. The Letter Head Paper must bear the names and Nationalities of the Directors of the Company at the bottom of the page duly signed by authorized officer of the firm.
  • For Joint Venture/Partnership, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) should be provided (All the eligibility requirements are compulsory for each JV partner) 
Collection of Tender Documents
The tender documents are to be collected from Procurement Office (Room 13 Administrative Building FTH Ido Ekiti between the working hours of 08.30am and 04.00 pm upon the payment of a non-refundable Tender Fee of N 10,000.00 per LOT into the Federal Teaching Hospital, ido-Ekiti’s REMITA’s Account and presentation of the copy of the Hospitals receipt. The photocopy of the receipt should be attached to the Tender Documents

Opening of Technical Bid




Only technical bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission at the Hospital’s MINI CONFERENCE HALL (Old School of Nursing Hall).

Submission of Tender Document
Completed tender documents should be two Hard copies (Marked "Original" & "Copy") each for both Technical & Financial Bids with Soft copy of Financial bid only in MS Excel Format, packaged in two separate sealed envelopes clearly marked at the top right corner of each envelope stating the title of the project i.e. "TECHNICAL BIDS FOR LOT 1:"& "FINANCIAL BiDS FOR LOT 1:" and at the reverse side the name of the company should boldly be written. Both envelopes shall then be put in a large envelope clearly marked at the top right corner stating the title of the project and the name and address of the company at the reverse side and be left in the appropriate Tender Box at Procurement Office (Room 13, Administrative Building), to be addressed to:

Late application will be returned unopened. Please make sure you signed Bid Submission Register at Procurement Office Room 13 Ground floor Administrative Building FTH Ido-Ekiti, as Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti will be not held responsible for misplaced or wrongly submitted Bids.

  • Bids must be in English Language and duly signed by official authorised by the bidder
  • The evaluation of the received documents shall be strictly based on the requirements specified in this Invitation to Tender.
  • The submitted bids should be orderly particularly Technical Bids
  • Bidders should NOT bid for more than two (2) Lots.
  • Incomplete Bids shall NOT be accepted.
  • Any financial bids without soft copy (ies) in specified format shall not be evaluated.
  • This publication is for information purpose only and does not constitute an offer by the Hospital to transact with any party for the project, nor does it constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of the Hospital to award the contract to any contractor or agent.
  • The Hospital will not be responsible for any cost or expenses incurred by any interested company(ies) in connection with any response to this invitation and/or preparation or submission of the documents
  • FTH, ldo-Ekiti also reserves the right to invoke the provision of Section 28 of Public Procurement Act (PPA), 2007, without incurring any liabilities to the bidder.
  • The Hospital’s Tender Board is not duty bound to short-list any Contractor or award the contract to any Contractor orAgent
  • Presence of bidders/representatives and members of the public shall not be required during the bid opening ceremony in compliance with COVID-l9 Guidelines. The Bids Opening will be covered by video recording (link will be sent to bidders) with the presence of two (2) representatives of private Sector professional bodies and Civil Society Organisation in the areas of Anti-Corruption/Transparency;
