Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB) in a bid to run its operations more effectively and efficiently is restructuring and setting up a central procurement system that is manageable and capable of supporting all our locations nationwide.

To this end, NB is Requesting for Proposals (RFP) to identify spare parts vendors who are potentially able to meet our needs in terms of quality and quantity at our various locations nationwide.

Spare Part Management Requirements

Vendors must have the capability to supply our current spare part needs to all these locations and to scale up when necessary to meet any growth in demand.
Develop and implement a plan to provide on-time and in-full deliveries of needed spare parts to all NB locations nationwide.
Supply all parts within assigned group at competitive or pre-negotiated prices.
Provide mutually beneficial ideas and feedback that would help NB achieve its central procurement objectives.

Technical Specifications
Commercial parts are classified into different groups. Vendors should have the capability to supply at least, all the parts within a specific group.

Scope, Quality of Work, Guarantee:
The successful Vendor shall furnish all labour, materials and equipment necessary to supply the spare parts called for in the specifications, plans or other instructions attached to or referred to in this RFP. All materials furnished shall be new and the best of their respective kinds, unless otherwise specified. Spares shall be delivered within the time stated in the contract, but the successful Vendor shall not be liable for delays due to causes beyond his/her reasonable control. The successful Vendor will comply with the Owners performance requirements unless the Owner formally declares otherwise.

The successful Vendor shall be held to repair or replace at his/her expense any equipment or materials found to be defective within a period of six months from the date of delivery.

Certified Memorandum and Articles of Association
List of company directors (form C07)
Tax Clearance Certificate
Current identification of each signatory
Reference forms from current or previous clients
Copies of government utility bills
Government approval forms where necessary

Submission and Opening Of Proposals
Two (2) copies of the proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and delivered in person by courier or by mail on or before the time and to the place stated below:

Closing Date
All proposals in response to this Request for Proposal (RFP) must be received no later than 4:00pm on the 28th of September, 2012.
All documents must have the signature of the person authorized to enter into a contractual agreement with NB Plc.

NOTE: Late proposals will be rejected and may not be returned to sender.

General Information

Enquiries
Interested companies will be given the opportunity to either visit NB Plc. locations or send email enquiries while developing their proposal. Site visits or appointments must be scheduled in advance and a list of questions must also be provided prior to the meeting at the email address listed below. Appointments are limited and prospective applicants are encouraged to send email enquiries in the event that we are unable to accommodate their meeting requests.

Email enquiries should be sent to vendors.nbplc@heineken.com up to 5 days prior to the RFP deadline date and will be answered promptly. Please note that any failure on our part to respond to email enquiries or accommodate site visits cannot be used as justification to extend the proposal submission deadline.

Shortlisting and Notification
Applicants that rank highly on the selection criteria will be shortlisted and invited for further discussion.
These applicants will be notified of their status by email on or before 12th of October 2012.
