Invitation to Tender for the Year 2012 Capital Projects

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development hereby invites interested and reputable companies/ consultants with relevant experience to tender for the following projects in the year 2012 capital Budget:

Interested contractors for the following are required to collect the tender documents from the Office of the Head of Procurement Division room 208, Block A of the Ministry after the payment of the tender fee often thousand naira (N10,000.00) for Lots (B1-2) to Diamond Bank Pie A/c No. 0012857266 in favour of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Abuja, whereas the Consultants are to submit their Expression of Interest(EOI) for Lots (Ai-6) documents at the same office above.

Works and Services
A. Consultancy Services
Lot 1: Establishment of Extension services to performing Artisinal and Small Scale Miners operations in North West, South East and North East Geo Political zones

Lot 2: Consultancy Services for Drilling of Corehole logging and analysis of core sample in Barytes formation of Azara Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State

Lot 3: Consultancy for Mapping and Surveying of Sites for Corehole drilling within Bitumen Block B (Imorun) Ondo State for 2013 - 2014

Lot 4: Consultancy Services for Development and Production of Draft Metallurgical Act and Regulation

Lot 5: Sourcing of Raw Materials: Foundary Sands and Refractories

Lot 6: Consultancy Services for Techno Economic Survey of Resources and Technologies for the Management and Development of Metal Industry in Nigeria

B. Works
1. Drilling of 2 Nos, Coreholes, Mudlogging and Analysis of core samples in Mining Lease No. 245 (Nigerian Mining Corporation) for Barytes in Azara Awe LGA of Nasarawa State.

2. Reclamation of Abandoned Mine site on Tenti Kuba Road, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State.

Qualification
All submissions must be accompanied with the following documents:
i. Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission
ii. Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2009-2011)
iii. VAT registration certificate and evidence of remittance to FIRS.
iv. Company profile with evidence of experience in similar jobs and successfully completed with certificate attached/equipment etc
v. Evidence of payment of the non-refundable tender fee of Ten thousand Naira (N1,000.00) for Lot B1-2
vi. Evidence of compliance with the Pension Act
vii. Evidence of Bank Reference/Financial capacity.
viii. Audited Account for last three years (2009-2010)

Submission of Tender Documents
Interested companies for Lots B1-2 are to submit their tender documents (technical and financial) in sealed envelope clearly marked “Tender for Y2o12” and Lots Ai-6 for EOIs shall be clearly marked ‘TECHNICAL PROPOSAL” and to be submitted in ORIGINAL and COPY as appropriate, enclosed in one single envelope, indicating the project /lot(s) of interest to the office of the Head of Procurement Division, Block A, Room No. 208 Luanda Crescent, Off Ademola Adetokunho Crescent Wuse II Abuja.

Closing Date
Submission of tenders closes by 12 noon on Tuesday, 13th November, 2012

Bid Opening
Opening of the submitted document will take place at 2:00pm on the closing day of submission (i.e Tuesday 13th November, 2012) at the Honourable Minister’s Conference Room. Representatives of all bidders, NGOs and interested members of the public are hereby invited to witness the hid opening.

a. That late submission will be rejected,
