Title: Request for Expression of Interest - Consultancy Services for the Baseline Data Collection and Monitoring of the Implementation of Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) Ebonyi State Ring Road Project (EBRRP)

Preamble

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received a credit from the Africa Development Bank (AFDB) towards the cost for the Ebonyi State Ring Road Project in Ebonyi State and it intends to apply part of the proceeds for Consultancy Services for the Environmental and Safety Services of the Ebonyi State Ring Road Project.

Objective

The Ebonyi State Ring Road Project Objective is to contribute to socio-economic development, poverty reduction through improved road transport infrastructure to reduce road maintenance costs, vehicle operating cost and travel time.

The Specific Objectives of the Consultancy Services are as follows:

To undertake environmental and socio-economic baseline studies and data collection and prepare a detailed pre-project situational analysis.
To Monitor the Implementation of the approved Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP).
To Monitor the implementation of approved Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).
To undertake external evaluation on the performance of approved ESMP and RAP and
To undertake capacity building.

Requirements

The Ebonyi State Ring Road Project now invites eligible consulting firms ("Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the Services.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
