Preamble
The USAID Integrated Health Program (IHP) is a five-year expanded effort by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the Government of Nigeria (GON) to identify and provide technical support for rapid scale-up of proven interventions through improvement of service delivery and strengthening of health systems. IHP aims to support the rapid scale-up of proven high impact interventions appropriate to each stage of life through improvements in the delivery of quality primary health care services, the strengthening of health systems, the reduction in supply-side barriers to service access and optimizing each contact with a client.

IHP works closely with the state government in Bauchi, Ebonyi, FCT, Kebbi and Sokoto states to support established health and development plans, build capacity and ensure ownership of interventions, systems, and results. The program promotes integrated packages of services in core intervention areas of health systems strengthening and reproductive health/family planning, maternal health, newborn health, child health, adolescent health, nutrition, and malaria, ensuring that priority is given to gender and social inclusion, and fostering sustainability and country ownership.

This document requests interested vendors to express interest in primary health care facility makeovers, which requires minor repairs and changes of fixtures in primary health facilities in five states. The makeover will involve up to fifty primary health centers in each state of Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Sokoto and FCT. The Short-listed vendors of providers will be notified in January/February and given more detailed specifications with a request for a quotation or technical cost proposals to carry out some or all the activities listed below. Pre-qualified vendors may be invited to response to a solicitation, and/or multiple solicitations.

Objective
The purpose of this Eol is to identify potential vendors who are experienced and have technical capability to do any of the following, but not limited to:
  • Fixing roof leakages
  • Flooring repair,
  • Electric work,
  • Painting,
  • Plumbing,
  • Water tank installation,
  • Windows repair,
  • Window and privacy curtains (sewing/procurement) and hanging for patient privacy,
  • Furniture making or procurement (Medicine/supply cabinets with glass panes, waiting room benches, wooden lock boxes for referral slips, cubicle shelving for medical records, long shelving for supply storeroom).
IHP-Nigeria is planning to conduct similar makeover work as mentioned above in health facilities in the following states:
  • In Bauchi state up to 50 health facilities
  • In Ebonyi state up to 50 health facilities
  • In Federal Capital Territory up to 50 health facilities
  • In Kebbi state up to 50 health facilities
  • In Sokoto state up to 50 health facilities.

  • To be included in the potential vendors list of the companies receiving the Request for Quotation for the above work, please complete the attached questionnaire and submit it, along with required attachments to the following states emails addresses by the deadline stated below. Please make efforts to limit the total file size of attachments as much as possible.
  • The pre-qualification process in no way obligates IHP-Nigeria to select or award a contract, nor does it commit IHP-Nigeria to any cost incurred by the organization in preparing and submitting the application document.

Obligations
  • IHP-Nigeria will not reimburse respondents for the costs incurred with preparing a response, nor does issuance of this El obligate
  • IHP-Nigeria to award a subcontract or purchase order. If a vendor is found to have made false or misleading claims or statements.
  • IHP-Nigeria reserves the right to reject an EOI submitted by or on behalf of a vendor.
