The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) invites eligible bidders to tender sealed bidding documents for the following works:

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional political and economic union of fifteen countries located in West Africa. Collectively, these countries comprise an area of 5,114,162 km², and in 2015 had an estimated population of over 349 million.

Title: Invitation to Bid for the Auction of Serviceable Item - 2000KVA Power Generator Set

Preamble

The ECOWAS Commission intends to carry out the Auction of its 2000 KVA power Generating set recently disengaged from the Alternative Power Supply Plant of ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Asokoro, Abuja.

The ECOWAS Commission now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Auction of its 2000 KVA Power Generating set.

Application Closing Date

11:00am Monday, 21st February, 2022.

Opening of Bids

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders/representatives who choose to attend (Via virtual meeting), on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 11:30am.

Collection of Bid Documents

The auction forms may be obtained by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000). The technical information/specification (of the power generating set) and other details are attached to this notice.

N/B: The winning bidder will be allowed a maximum of fifteen (15) days to make payment, and 30 days to remove the item from its location in the premises after which the bid security will be called in/invoked.

Submission of Documents

Bids should be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Local Competitive Bidding for the Auction of Serviceable Item; 2000KVA Power Generating Set, Do Not Open, Except in Presence of the Procurement Committee" and deposited in the ECOWAS Tender Box located at the:

Please Note

Submitted bids should clearly indicate Price, Removal Period, Bid Validity Period and Bid Security Validity Period as these will determine the acceptance of bids received.
There will be a technical assessment visit, inspection, test running/powering session of the power generating set at its present location (ECOWAS NEW HQ Building Site, close to the Cancer Centre before Shoprite, Lugbe, Abuja) from February 8-11, 2022 (12.00 to 3pm daily). Site inspection will be coordinated by the Head of maintenance
