Jhpiego Corporation invites interested / reputable and licensed Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) to express interest by tendering RFP documents for the following works:

Jhpiego Corporation, an affiliate of John Hopkins University, is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization that works to improve the health of women and families throughout the world.

Applications are invited for:

Title: Request for Proposal for the Provision of Health Insurance to Jhpiego

Preamble

Jhpiego is in the process of engaging the services of reputable and licensed Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) that will provide health insurance services for its members of staff for the current FY.

Vendors are encouraged to please read through the RFQ carefully to understand the requirements prior submission of proposals. We also encourage HMOs based in any of our field locations to apply i.e Uyo, Ogoja, Yola, Keffi, Minna, Abakaliki, Sokoto, Jalingo, Akure and FCT.

Required Services

Provision of Health Insurance Coverage for all staff members of Jhpiego Nigeria for a period of one (1)year.

Estimated total number of staffs is 230, broken down as follows;

Individuals without family estimated at 30%
Individuals with family estimated 70%

Other terms related to the required services:

Vendors are required to give best quote for the various available options/plans of medical insurance coverage for the staff profile detailed above.
Detailed information regarding each option/plan should be provided
Successful vendor should be responsive and willing to offer prompt support during contract period (if required).

Note

Quotation should include the following:

A breakdown of the financial offer, indicating the unit cost, total cost as well as other applicable cost, schedules of premium where necessary
All offer should be in Nigerian Naira, valid for the contract period of one year.
The quotation must be enclosed in plain sealed envelope with the description of proposal indicated boldly on the envelope.
Signed and stamped offers by authorized representative of vendor.

Contract Duration

Jhpiego intends to engage the successful bidder(s) for a period of one year.

Premium, other costs and rates indicated in bid must be valid and unchanged throughout the contract period. Extension of contract for another year will be based on satisfactory performance and at sole discretion of Jhpiego.

Eligibility Requirements

All applicants should provide the following;

CAC documentation (Certificate of Incorporation, Article and Memorandum of Association) of the bidding company
Corporate Tax Identification Number (TIN)
Organization profile, licenses relating to the service being offered
Verifiable physical office address
Minimum of three (3) reputable references from reputable International NGOs within the last three (3) years where similar activity provided successfully.
There will be deduction of applicable government taxes e.g. WHT where applicable.

15th February, 2022.

Submission of Documents

Completed offers including all the requirements and details specified, sealed in a plain envelope and clearly marked with the full Description should be addressed and dropped into the Tender Box situated at the reception of:

Note

All vendors should ensure that they sign the bid register after dropping their bids.
Jhpiego will not accept any proposal submitted in any other way. Incomplete proposals will not be considered, and vendors who are currently providing these services to Jhpiego must re-apply with all of the documentation attached as mentioned above.
