Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) invites qualified ESCOs to tender RFQ documents for the following services:




Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) is one of the 11 power distribution companies that was successfully privatized and handed over to new investors on November 1, 2013. KANN Utility Limited is the 60% equity holders in AEDC, while the Federal Government of Nigeria holds 40% equity.

AEDC’s franchise area covers the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Kogi and Nasarawa States with a total land mass of 133,000 km2.

Preamble
AEDC is required to maintain power quality in line with prevailing Nigerian regulations as set by the Nigeria Electrical Regulatory Commission (NERC) in their customer's service standards of Performance, together with internationally accepted standards (IEC 60050). AEDC has a franchise for the distribution and sale of electricity across an area of 133,000 km2 in the Federal Capital Territory, Niger State, Kogi State and Nasarawa State.

Scope of Services
AEDC is seeking qualified ESCOs that will provide better electricity supply to select large commercial and industrial customers, rural communities, and commercial streets in AEDC's service territory.
