The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development is an agency set up to unlock the economic potentials of the solid minerals sub-sector in Nigeria.

Preamble

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (MinDiver) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Procurement of 6 nos of Double cabin Motor vehicles and 1nos 30-seater minibus.

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development through the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (Mindiver) Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of 6 nos of Double cabin Motor vehicles and 1nos 30-seater minibus. The summary of major items to be supplied are listed below.

Scope of Work
  • Double Cabin Motor Vehicle / 6 Nos
  • 30-seater Minibus / 1Nos
N/B: The list of Goods required including quantity, delivery address, delivery period etc. are detailed in the Schedule of Requirements contained in the bidding document.

Qualification Requirements
Qualification Criteria includes:
  • Financial Capability: The minimum annual turnover/Volume of the Bidder in the last three years should be NGN 670,000,000 or equivalent.
  • The audited accounts for the last three years 2019, 2020 and 2021 shall be submitted to demonstrate the current bidder's financial position.
Experience Criteria:
  • Minimum of five (5) years overall experience of the firm in the supply of Motor Vehicles
  • Documentary evidence of at least 3 similar contracts undertaken by the Bidder in the past 5 years, each must be similar in value, scope and complexity as this contract

11:00pm Wednesday, 11th May, 2022.

Bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidder on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Twenty-thousand-naira (N20,000) only, for a set, through 'REMITA', web site: www.remita.net to our Account; Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (MINDIVER) Project) and Service type 'Sale of Bid document. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address below

Bidding documents in English Language will be forwarded to interested bidders by email upon the submission of a written Application and evidence of payment on Remita platform. Hard copies may also be picked up at the Project office.

Additional Information
  • Late Bids will be rejected.
  • All Bids must be valid for a period of 120 days after bid closing and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of NGN 8,300,000 or equivalent.
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
  • Bidding will be conducted through Open national procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" (July 2016) revised in November 2017 August 2018 and November 2020 ("Procurement Regulations"), available on www.worldbank.org/procure and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
