Title: Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Supply of Drugs and Pharmaceutical Products to the UN
Description of Requirements
The United Nations (UN) Department of Operational Support (DOS) is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) from competent and qualified vendors for the supply of Drugs and Finished Pharmaceutical Products (FPPs) to all UN Peacekeeping and Special Political Missions, and other eligible UN entities including Agencies, Funds and Programs globally.
The detailed scope of requirements will be provided within the UN solicitation, which is planned to be issued in May 2022 (this date is subject to change). The requirement encompasses a whole range of finished pharmaceutical products including anti-infectives, vaccines and other general drugs.
Vendors will be required to be registered, under national legislation in the country of operation, as a pharmaceutical manufacturer or distributor and submit relevant authorizations issued by the national regulatory authority of the country of operation or other relevant entity.
For purposes of quality assurance, vendors will be required to submit, for each product offered, a valid certificate of product registration/license from a Stringent Regulatory Authority (SRA) or pre-qualification by WHO under the WHO pre-qualification programme. For products without WHO pre-qualification or SRA approval, a valid certificate of product registration/license issued by a National Regulatory Authority (NRA) and a GMP Certificate for the site of manufacture will be acceptable in lieu.
Please note that this request for Expression of Interest (EOI) is not the tender document. The vendors submitting the EOI will be included in the list of invitees in the upcoming solcitation, which will provide the details of the requirement. If you received an electronic confirmation after responding the EOI then please wait for the formal start of the solicitation, which can take several weeks.
Please note that this solicitation will be run in ariba, thus if you receive any emails from Ariba please do not discart them as spam. Please also keep your UNGM account updated with all relevant contact as Ariba will consider those contacts for the solicitation.
