Title: Request for Proposal (RFP) - Egg Supply to Egg Powder Factory

Preamble
An Egg Powder Factory is at the stage of the plan where the supply of the primary raw materials to the plant, 500,000/eggs per day, is activated in a manner that will ensure consistency and sustainability.

Project Goals

• Supply of high quality egg that meets the exact specification required. By the factory.
• Support the factory operating at 100% capacity utilization; 500,000 eggs per day.
• Ensure high caliber of human capacity is maintained through a rigorous and continuous training culture

Scope of Work
This is the building of a buffer layer farms for the factory to produce at least 60% of the required egg in a DBOT-Design, Build, Operate and Transfer contractual arrangement. This will entail;

• Design and Build:
  • Design and development of the cluster of layer farms that can produce 300,000 eggs/day.
  • Preparing the bills of quantities for the construction of the farms.
  • Selection of the firms to construct the firms
  • Project management for the Construction of the farms.
• Operate and Transfer:
  • Plans for the Input supplies to the farm: point of lay, feed, pharmaceuticals etc
  • Developing the Operational plan for the farm; SOP, personnel . selection, accounting
  • Manage the human capacity, and train them in technical and farm management practices focused on sustainability.
  • Transitioning of the farms to ownership of the factory in 5-10 years.

Current Roadblocks and Barriers to Success

• The farms are expected to be in a 10- 50km radius from the factory
• Timing of completion is expected to be within 6-9 months of commencement

Evaluation Metrics and Criteria

• The business model canvass.
• Project, strategy and approach should be explicitly depicted Inclusive of schematics, financial/funding, strategy etc.
• Track record of success on constructing similar projects.
• Proven and live sites of operating a layer farm of 100,000 eggs/day capacity.
• A detailed list of personnel within your work force with their relevant qualifications and experience should be included.
• The ability to have a training school on location must be demonstrated.
