Overview
This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this programme published on the African Development Bank Group Internet Website (www.afdb.org) on 21" May 2019.

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received financing from the African Development Bank (the Bank), towards the cost of the Programme for Integrated Development and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Niger Basin (PIDACC/NB), Nigeria and intends to apply part of the agreed amount to finance payments under the contract for the "Consultancy Services on Follow-up of Farmers on Climate Change Information".

Scope of Work
  • The services under this assignment include development and dissemination of Climate Change Adaptation information to farmers, Climate-Responsive Farming Management (CRFM) and Field Farming School (FFS) and Exchange Visits in the four River Basins Development Areas of intervention in Nigeria: Upper Benue, Upper Niger, Sokoto- Rima and Anambra- Imo; and in collaboration with Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMET), Institute for Agricultural Research, Zaria (AR) & Department of Agricultural Land and Climate Change Services (DALCCS-FMARD).
  • The estimated duration of the assignment is Four (4) years and the estimated starting date is 29th August, 2022.
The Federal Ministry of Water Resources (FMWR) through its National Programme Coordinating Unit (NPCU) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar water resources/water shed management, environment or sustainable development assignments and Extension services to farmers on Climate Change Adaptation, verifiable experience in similar conditions in Nigeria and/or in sub-Saharan Africa, evidence of availability of appropriate skills among staff.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility Criteria, establishment of the shortlist and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the Procurement Policy for the Bank Group Funded Operation, October 2015 which is available on the Banks website at http://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/new-procedure-policy
