The Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification Project (MinDiver) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement and Installation of the following works:




Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification Project (MinDiver) is a World Bank Assisted project under the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development (MMSD). The overall objective of the MinDiver Project is to link with the Roadmap and enhance the mining sector’s contribution to the economy by strengthening key government institutions, improving information infrastructure and knowledge, and fostering domestic investment in the sector.

Preamble
The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has obtained a credit from the International Development Association- IDA/World Bank to be used in providing support to the Government of Nigeria towards reviving the process of Economic diversification through the mining sector.

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development through the Mineral Sector Support for Economic Diversification (Mindiver) Project now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement and Installation of Equipment to Carry Out Geochemical Mapping of Selected Areas Under the Proof of Concept in Nigeria.

Scope of Works
The summary of major items to be supplied are listed below:

Please note:
  • The list of Goods required including quantity, delivery address, delivery period etc. are given in the Schedule of Requirements contained in the bidding document.
  • Bidding will be conducted through international competitive Bidding procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016) revised in November 2017, August 2018 and November 2020 available on www.worldbank.org/procure and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bidding Requirements
Qualification Criteria includes:
  • Financial Capability: The minimum annual turnover/Volume of the Bidder in the last five years should be NGN 200,000,000.
  • The audited accounts for the last three years 2019, 2020 and 2021 shall be submitted to demonstrate the current bidder's financial position.
Experience Criteria:
  • Minimum of five (5) years overall experience of the firm in the supply of Equipment.
  • Documentary evidence of at least 3 similar contracts undertaken by the Bidder in the past 5 years, each must be similar in value, scope and complexity as this contract.

11:00am Tuesday, 5th July, 2022.

Bidding documents in English Language will be forwarded to interested bidders by email upon the submission of a written Application and evidence of payment on Remita platform. Hard copies may also pe picked up at the Project office.

  • Electronic Bidding will not be permitted.
  • Late Bids will be rejected.
  • Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
  • All Bids must be valid for a period of 120 days after bid closing and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of NGN 5,000,000.
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
