The Concept

• A key initiative which is the Reaching Every Ward (REW) strategy aims to ensure that immunization services are accessible to all at the local level. In alignment with M-RITE's mandate to improve immunization vaccine coverage, it is to provide support to Local Government Area (LGA) teams as they undertake a desk review of the REW microplan for all public primary health care facilities.
• Additionally, we aim to input the data and enter the data to produce soft copy that can be regularly updated.

Rationale

• There is a need to assess all BHCPF PHCs in Bayelsa State to achieve targeted, specific, and effective support. This will ensure adequate information is available as needed for policy decisions, planning, and implementation to actualize the reach every child strategy.
• This activity is aimed at creating electronic copies of the REW microplan that will improve accessibility and ease of use for planning.
• This activity will strengthen the capacity of LGA teams in planning and implementing immunization activities through a comprehensive review of the REW microplan.
• By conducting this desk review, M-RITE aim to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities within the microplan and provide recommendations for enhancing its effectiveness and impact.

Objective

• Support Local Government Area (LGA) teams in conducting a desk review as well as creating electronic copies of the health facilities microplan.

Quotation for the Provison Boat, Motor Bike and Car Hire

• As a part of the preparation for this exercise, State Officers, LGA Officers and JSI/M-RITE staff will be going round all the selected facilities in Bayelsa State for Retrieval of Microplan and Data Entry in to MS Excel; thus, Boat, Motor Bike and Car Hire Service vendors are expected to send in their quotes, for provision of services (intra-city travels and within locations in the LGAs).

Delivery Location

• The Car Hire, Boat, Motor Bike services shall be provided to JSI/M-RITE Staff to cover the 8 LGAs in Bayelsa State, conveying staff to and from their locations to above LGAs.

Bidders are expected to submit properly signed financial bid/ quotation with company’s letter head paper.

• The Financial bids must be in NGN
• Following the requirement of the Federal Government of Nigeria, John Snow Incoperated (JSI) will deduct 5% withholding tax from the total contractual sum.  Also, note that JSI- is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and is VAT exempted.
• JSI reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it fails to meet the criteria or submitted after the stipulated closing date.
• Only successful bidder(s) shall be notified and will be asked to sign a Local Purchase Order (Contract document) with John Snow Incoperated. Note, this RFQ, does not in any way translate to a contract.
• Note that any submission made after the stipulated date will not be considered.
