Invitation for Pre-Qualification and Tender for Projects

The Federal Government Girls College, Bwari has the following projects:
Lot 1 - Completion of Library Block
Lot 2 - Construction of 3 Nos boreholes with underground and overhead storage tanks
Lot 3 - Completion of Sports Pavilion
Lot 4 - Construction of 2 No Students Hostels
Lot 5 - Construction of 3 Blocks of Six Classrooms
Lot 6 - Renovation of Hostels
Lot 7 - Renovation of Classrooms
Lot 8 - Construction of a generator house and procurement of a generator
Lot 9 - Completion and equipping of Kitchen and Dining Hall

Tendering Requirements
Interested and competent contractors wishing to carry out the above fisted jobs are required to submit the following documents which will be subjected to verification by the College.
  1. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
  2. Evidence of Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years ending in December, 2011.
  3. Evidence of VAT registration Certificate with TIN No. and past remittances for last three years.
  4. Names of Bankers with references.
  5. Evidence of Financial Capability to execute the projects.
  6. Company profile with Cvs of key officers including photocopies of relevant professional/technical qualifications.
  7. Evidence of registration with relevant professional bodies such as ARCON, COREN, CORBON etc.
  8. List of verifiable Construction Equipment indicating ownership or lease agreement.
  9. Verifiable evidence of successful completion of similar works within the past three 3 years and attach copies of letters of awards and certificates of successful completion.
  10. Evidence of issuance of compliance Certificate to all Organizations by PENCOM in line with Pension Reform Act 2004 (as amended).
  11. Evidence of compliance with the amended industrial Training Fund Act 2011.
  12. A sworn affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of FME or BPP is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars.
  13. Bidders shall not bid for more than two (2) lots
  14. For Lot 8 manufacturer’s authorization is required. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure as specified in the 2007 Public Procurement Act.

Collection of Bid Documents:
Interested firms are to collect bid documents from the Office of the Vice Principal (Administration), Federal Government Girls’ College, Bwari, upon the presentation of a non-refundable payment of Ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) only bank draft per lot in favour of the Principal, Federal Government Girls College, Bwari.

Submission of Tenders
Two copies of the documents in sealed envelopes and clearly marked Pre-Qualification” and Financial Bid Documents’ with appropriate Lot number marked, with project title boldly written at the right hand corner of the envelope. They should be addressed to:
The Principal,
Federal Government Girls’ College, Bwari Abuja.

The sealed envelope should be deposited in the Tenders Box at the Administrative Block of Federal Government Girls’ College, Bwari
No submission will be received after the stipulated time.

Closing Date
14th November, 2012by 9.00a.m.

Opening of the received documents would commence by 10.00a.m. on 14th November, 2012 at the college hall. All bidders and or their representatives, relevant professional bodies, NGOs are invited to witness the public opening exercise.


This advertisement supersede the earlier advert of 5th October 2012. The entire process related to the former procedure have been cancelled. However all earlier payments are still valid.
Nothing in the advertisement shall be construed as a commitment on the part of the college to award any or all of the above listed projects.
