Request for Proposal for Security Services at Nigerian Breweries Plc

Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB Plc) seeks to engage the services of a qualified Security Services company to provide a wide range of uniformed security and protection services in its breweries located in Otta, Onitsha and Kudenda. We hereby solicit proposals from established companies with the necessary capabilities and experience to provide these services. Applications should address all the requirements stated in this Request for Proposal. However, we welcome additional information or other unique solutions, within the context of the services required, which may enhance the quality of services rendered

Scope of Services
The services include:
  • Personal Guard Services; Uniformed Security Guards & Guard dogs
  • Protocol & Escort Services including armed police escorts
  • Event Security.
  • Security Training.
  • Emergency Response Services.
  • Electronic Surveillance Services.
  • Background Checks/ Private Investigations.

Personal Guard Services/Protocol & Escort Services/Event Security

A. The Vendor shall provide uniformed security services in and around the locations on a 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week basis, or as otherwise needed per site specification or per event. Contract security personnel will provide a variety of services, implementing NB Pies security objectives according to policies and procedures which may include but is not limited to the following general tasks: entry and exit access control, interior and exterior building area patrol, visitor and employee identity verification, incident and daily operating reports, monitoring and responding to unauthorized intrusion, fire alarms, suspicious activities or packages, and responding as necessary to prevent and eliminate incidences which may endanger life.

B. Vendor shall provide appropriate and necessary management and supervision for all its employees and shall be solely responsible for instituting and invoking disciplinary action of employees not in compliance with rules and regulations established by any subsequent contract agreement.

C. Vendor shall ensure hiring, training and administration of motivated and professional employees that meet NB Plc’s standards or as established in a contract agreement.

D. Vendor is responsible for the daily personal appearance of security personnel. Vendor shall provide uniforms and protective clothing necessary to support continuous performance of contract requirements.

Security Training

E. Vendor shall provide training or instruction to NB Plc personnel where necessary.

F Vendor shall ensure trainers possess the appropriate certifications which qualify them to teach courses in security awareness and risk identification, self defense, emergency response and others designated by NB Plc.

Emergency Response Services! Electronic Surveillance Services

G Vendor shall have the capability to install/provide maintain and monitor electronic and detection systems in locations designated by NB Plc.

H. Vendor shall provide or have access to emergency response services including, but not limited to Ambulance Services, Fire trucks, Hazardous Materials Threat mitigation and disposal.

Background Checks! Private Investigations
I. Vendor shall have the capability to conduct background checks on prospective employees, and third parties on behalf of NB Plc. This might involve conducting interviews and gathering relevant information from former schools attended, community/village members, family members and previous employers. Vendor shall conduct private investigations upon request and do so without prejudice to the Police.

Eligibility Criteria
The following documents should be provided along with the proposal;
  • Company profile; include detailed information about company history, ownership, management bios, company mission and vision, locations, etc.
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • List of company directors (form C07)
  • Tax clearance certificate
  • Current Identity of Signatories
  • Reference forms from current or previous clients documenting experience of similar nature and scope
  • Government approval forms or certifications where necessary

Nigerian Breweries reserves the right to evaluate proposals in any way it deems necessary in the context of its requirement for services, including how to determine the importance of each evaluation criteria.

Closing Date

All proposals in response to this RFP must be received no later than 4:00pm on Friday, 16 of November, 2012. All documents must have the signature of the person authorized to enter it a contractual Agreement with NB Plc

NB: Late proposals will be rejected and may not be returned to sender.
