This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the dg Market website on June 2, 2004 and was published in UN Development Business, Issue No. 633, on June 30, 2004.

Nigeria 1st National Urban Water Sector Reform Project Procurement of Domestic and Bulk Water Meters

2. The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of National Urban Water Sector Reform Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Bulk and domestic Water Meters:

3. Ogun State Water Corporation now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply of Domestic and Bulk meters mentioned above consisting of Goods including but not limited to the following:
  • Supply of Conventional Meters
  • Supply of Pre-Paid Meters
  • Supply of AMR Meters
  • Supply of Electromagnetic Bulk Meters
4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the guidelines.

5. Qualifications requirements include the following minimum conditions:

a. Certificate of incorporation of firm, Audited financial report in the last five years and a copy of federal inland revenue service tax certificate for the last five years
b. The bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that it has supplied similar items in the last five years

6.Interested eligible bidders may obtain information from Ogun State Water Corporation and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm.

7. A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of Naira 15,000.00 for Lot I AND N30,000 FOR Lot II. The method of payment will be Bank Draft made in favour of the National Urban Water Sector Reform Project, Ogun State. The Bidding Documents will be collected by hand or sent by courier services on request.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Monday 15th October, 2012 at 12.00 noon. Electronic bidding “shall not” be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 12.30 noon on 15th October, 2012.

9. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as stated in the table under paragraph 2 above or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
