• As part of the "Nutrition" project entitled "Support for health facilities in the intervention of malnutrition and treatment of acutely malnourished children aged 6 – 59 months", Médecins Sans Frontières, West and Central Africa (MSF WACA) informs suppliers in Kano that the partnership application procedure will be open from August 18 until August 25, 2026.

The categories for which partnership is sought are: Rental of Covered Trucks for distribution of Medical and Logistics Consumables as per the locations below:

• Participation in the procedure is open under the same conditions to all legally recognized legal persons.
• Applicants must provide any documentation that the Contracting Authority may reasonably require, establishing to the satisfaction of the Contracting Authority that they continue to be admitted to the competition.

ANNEX 2
Technical specification for rental vehicle for transportation of medical and logistics supplies
Purpose:

• The vehicle will be used for the transportation of medical commodities, logistics supplies, equipment, and other program materials within urban, rural, and hard-to-reach locations as required.

Vehicle Requirements
Vehicle Type:

• Light-duty commercial cargo truck (Canter type or equivalent).

Make and Model:

• Mitsubishi Fuso Canter, Mini Canter, or equivalent vehicle of similar capacity and performance.

Cabin Configuration:

• Standard single cabin.
• Seating capacity for a minimum of three (3) persons, including the driver.

Payload Capacity:

• Minimum payload capacity of 2.5 metric tonnes.
• Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) between 3.5 and 4.5 tonnes or equivalent.

Cargo Body Requirements
Cargo Body Type:

• Covered flatbed cargo body with durable side panels.
• Weatherproof covering to protect medical and logistics supplies from dust, rain, and direct sunlight.

Loading Access:

• Rear loading access.
• Side loading access is preferred for ease of operations.

Safety Requirements
The vehicle must be equipped with:

• Functional seat belts for all occupants.
• Fire extinguisher.
• First aid kit.
• Spare tyre and basic emergency tools.
• Good-quality roadworthy tyres meeting national safety standards.

Suspension and Performance:

• Heavy-duty suspension suitable for transportation of medical and logistics supplies across varied terrain.
• Power steering.
• Brake system appropriate for the vehicle's load capacity and operating environment.

Vehicle Condition and Compliance
The vehicle must:

• Be in good mechanical and operational condition.
• Have valid vehicle registration and insurance coverage.
• Possess up-to-date roadworthiness certification.
• Be supported by documented preventive maintenance records.
• Be free from major structural damage and safety defects.

Driver Requirements
The service provider shall provide:

• A qualified and licensed driver with experience operating commercial cargo vehicles.
• Compliance with all national traffic and road safety regulations.
• Replacement driver arrangements in case of absence or emergency.

Intended Use
The vehicle will primarily be used for:

• Transportation of medical commodities and supplies.
• Movement of logistics equipment.
• Distribution of humanitarian and program materials.
• Delivery of general cargo required for project implementation.
