As part of the drive to support the development of Nigerian-led Information Communication and Technology (ICT) businesses, our client is seeking to launch an ICT Venture Fund (“The Fund”) that will support promising businesses in the ICT industry. The Fund will he capitalized-at $15 $30 million with our clientacting as the Anchor Investor.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Independent Institution to act as Fund Manager to oversee fund-raising, deal sourcing, evaluation and execution, technology business incubation, portfolio management and the management of the fund. The applicant should be a recognized venture capital investor with demonstrable and relevant experience in analysing and executing stage-agnostic venture opportunities in the ICT sector. The Fund Manager must have demonstrable expertise in performing and taking an active role in seed-stage investments, experience in early and early-growth stage investing with significant experience working on boards o:f early and early-growth stage technology companies, strong entrepreneurial mentoring activity, an understanding of operational needs of early- and growth-stage start-up technology companies, cross-border network reach, extensive experience in structuring and negotiating investment terms, a track record of leading transactions and investor syndicates, leading investment teams, and managing and exiting portfolio companies. The Fund Manager should also have experience investing in strategic platforms to incubate high potential growth companies.

The Fund Manager will be compensated in line with best practices relating to management fees and carried interest.
