Invitation to Tender for Execution of Emergency Projects under MYTO Intervention Scheme at Eko Electricity Distribution Company of Nigeria

1.0 Introduction
In view of the urgent need to save a very sensitive LUTH Injection Substation from present flooding/ total collapse and also to execute very critical projects needed to restore supply to several customers, we hereby invite; competent, experienced, capable and reputable contractors and suppliers to apply to tender for the execution of projects and/or supply of materials and equipment as listed below:

2.0 Scope of Work
Description of Project
LOT M1 - Demolition and reconstruction (with extension) of LUTH 33/11kV Injection S/S, fencing, deflooding, switchyard gravelling and provision of temporal office accommodation for
Distribution Substation operators & faultsmen
LOT M2 - Reconstruction of dilapidated outdoor 33kV gantry and replacement of obsolete 33kV switchgears and isolators at LUTH Injection S/S
LOT M3 - Provision and Installation of new 2sets of 11kV switchgears to replace obsolete ones at LUTH Injection Substation
LOT M4 - Provision and replacement of 1 No. 15MVA, 33/11 kV faulty Power Transformer at Ajele Injection S/S, Lagos Island
LOT M5 - Repair and recommissioning of faulty 15MVA Power Transformers at New Customs Inj. S/S
LOT M6 - Supply & Installation of Distribution transformer in various locations within the 11 Business Units in Eko
LOT M7 - Repair of faulty 500kVA distribution transformers 33kV& 11kV
LOT M8 - Construction of Yaba Service Centre building for Staff/Customers
LOT M9 - Supply of Transformer oil for maintenance of equipment
LOT M10 - Rehabilitation of 33kV & 11kV feeders in various locations

3.0 Requirements

• Evidence of company registration I certificate of incorporation.
• Photocopies of Current Company Tax clearance certificate for the last (3) Three years.
• Photocopies of VAT registration certificate and evidence of VAT remittance.
• Evidence of verifiable similar jobs successfully executed.
• Evidence of remitting Employer and Employee pension Contributions to the appropriate pension Fund Custodian.
• Evidence of Payment of Non-Refundable Tender fees.
• Evidence of financial capability of executing projects with certified bank statement to buttress claim.
• Company’s audited account for the last (3) three years.
• Companies in construction industry should have a COREN registered engineer as Managing Director and must show proof of having executed such jobs successfully.
• Evidence of being a manufacturer with SON or ISO Certificate where applicable.
• Evidence of technical, operational and managerial capabilities
• Any other related document that will enhance verification of experience and competence.

Tender documents are available for collection upon payment of non-refundable fee of N50,000.00/Per Lot from the office of:

4.0 Closing Date/Submission of Documents
Interested Applicants should submit their spirally bound documents in line with requirement stated above in sealed envelopes marked “Tender” indicating the LOT NO and description of project on the left hand corner of the envelope, Name and mailing address of the Tender Company shall be clearly stated at the back of the envelope(s). The documents must be delivered by hand to reach the following address on or before 10.00 am on 24 December, 2012.

Tender documents shall be opened on same day by 2.00 PM at Soremekun Memorial Hall 11,
Broad Street Lagos.

Note
In view of the emergency nature of the projects:

• No bidder will be considered for more than One (1) Lot
• Any submission that is not substantially responsive will not be processed
• Contractors / Companies are advised to bid for lot in the area of their competences and for which they have executed recently.
• Any company/contractor that submit fake document/s shall be disqualified.
• Only technically qualified companies/contractors shall be invited for Financial Bid Opening.
• Contractors are advised to inspect sites before submission of bids.

Two sets (Original & Copy) plus Soft copy are to be submitted. All information shall be provided in English Language.

This advertisement shall not be construed as a commitment on the part of Eko Electricity Distribution Company’s Management nor shall it entitle responding Contractors to seek any indemnity from Eko Electricity Distribution Company by virtue of such Contractors having responded to this advertisement.
